Lost in your web of tangled forgetfulness I call to you but you do not answer. And just when I despair of reaching you, Like a brief burst of sunlight Through a cloudy sky: A smile, a liveliness of eye, a word And you are there for an instant, Only to quickly fade into blankness. And again the pain of your loss. Will you never return? Are you lost to me forever? Then through the mist of my despair, I hear that ancient voice that says, “I go to prepare a place for you.” And I know that I shall find you there. By: Gene Hiatt EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT Jerri Betts Please join us in welcoming Jerri to our Primrose family! She recently joined our team in the front office as the Executive Assistant. Before her transition to Primrose, Jerri worked at Sallie Mae for 25 years. She also volunteered here at Primrose with special activities. She has 6 children and 13 grandchildren! In her spare time, Jerri enjoys scrapbooking, taking pictures of her grandchildren and reading mystery novels. We are so excited to have Jerri as a part of our Primrose team. Be sure to extend her a warm Primrose welcome as she joins our family! RESIDENT SPOTLIGHT The Simerlys Clyde and Kathleen Simerly met in Johnson City, Tennessee while Kathleen was attending Business College. They were married and soon after moved to North Carolina where Clyde worked for Douglas Aircraft making missiles. The Simerlys are blessed with 1 son, 2 grandchildren and 5 great grand children. October 18, 2014 they will celebrate their 67th wedding anniversary. In those 67 years, the two have had some great adventures! Together they have traveled all over the United States only missing Washington state and Alaska. The Simerlys have also adventured to several foreign countries including Nova Scotia, Egypt, Greece, Italy and France, just to name a few! Their favorite trip, however, was their trip to the Holy Land. Twice they visited the Holy Land, once in 1969 and again in 1980. Clyde’s most memorable moment from the trip was all of it! Experiencing such an amazing place, it would be hard to choose just one favorite memory. Standing in the Garden of Gethsemane and Mount of Olives, walking through the Garden Tomb as well as the places where Jesus walked created lasting memories for the couple. During the trip, Clyde was baptized in the Jordan River and even got in the Dead Sea while Kathleen watched from the shore! The Simerly’s have a deep faith in God and give him all the glory in everything they have been blessed to do. Now calling Primrose home, Clyde says, “We feel fortunate to be here where we are looked after and appreciate and love the staff from top to bottom!” HAPPENINGS AT PRIMROSE KICKOFF TO FOOTBALL SEASON!
