The 2nd International Conference on Bioinspired and
Biobased Chemistry & Materials will held in Nice at the
Negresco Palace on October 15-17, 2014. The conference is
endorsed by Materials Research Society (MRS), the European
Materials Research Society (E-MRS) and the International
Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC).
Bioinspired and Biobased Chemistry & Materials is an
emerging field covering materials science, chemistry,
physics and biology. It arises from the knowledge
of synthesis, directed self-assembly and hierarchical
organization of natural materials, and takes advantage
of this understanding to engineer new artificial materials
and devices for many applications ranging from medical,
industrial, military to energy sectors.
The aim of the conference is to create a cohesive
community of scientists, engineers and managers from
different backgrounds in order to promote new ideas, share
innovation and research in the emerging field of Bioinspired
and Biobased Chemistry & Materials.
