Dear Valued Member, Firstly, we at GoodLife want to thank you for your commitment to GoodLife Fitness. We have truly appreciated you making the choice to achieve your health, wellness and fitness goals with us. This purpose of this letter is to let you know that the Toronto Delisle Club will have its last day of operations on Friday, October 31, 2014. This decision did not come easily but we want to make this change as easy as possible for you, our valued Members. Below we’ve compiled some frequently asked questions that will be useful during the transition. Please speak to one of our friendly Associates at the front desk to discuss any additional questions you may have. As another contact option you can call 1-800-387-2524 and an Associate from our Member Experience Department will be pleased to help you.* Why is the Toronto Delisle Club transitioning Members to the Toronto St. Clair/Yonge Club? We make all of our decisions with our Associates and Members top of mind. The decision was made because we want to invest our resources in our Clubs in the surrounding area that can provide the best overall experience possible to our Associates and Members. We have worked very hard to provide options that will allow our Members to continue achieving their health and fitness goals with GoodLife. We feel that transitioning the Membership base to the Toronto St. Clair/Yonge Club is the best option. What will happen to my Membership? We want you to continue your fitness journey with us. We have several Clubs nearby that can accommodate all of your needs. Firstly, we will be extending the month of October to you for free – that means no dues will be withdrawn from your account for the entire month. We want to give you a month to determine where you will be most happy as a GoodLife Fitness Member. Effective TODAY until October 31, 2014: You will be upgraded to an All Club Access Membership so you can start visiting other Clubs right away. Try them out and see which one works best for you. Effective November 1, 2014: Please speak to an Associate at the front desk about what will be happening specifically with your Membership at this time. What amenities do nearby Clubs offer? Toronto St. Clair/Yonge: 12 St. Clair Avenue East Towel Service Shaving cream and razors Increase in small equipment (kettle bells, etc.) Team Training (Small Group Training) Toronto Yonge and Eglinton Validated parking (two hours of free parking) Easy access from subway (convenient location) Toronto Dunfield: 110 Eglinton Avenue East Large renovation currently underway – new Health Centre (Massage Therapy), state of the art Group Exercise studio, PT-only area. Very large Club with three Group Exercise studios Squash Hot Tubs Towel Service Steam Rooms JUMP! How will Group Exercise Schedules at other Clubs change to accommodate the loss of Delisle classes? A big focus during this transition is to ensure we add Group Exercise classes to the schedules at other Club locations and to provide our Delisle Instructors with opportunities to teach at these other locations. More information will follow as we work out the specifics of each Group Exercise schedule. In almost every situation, classes on the Delisle schedule will be transferred to a nearby Club (along with the Instructors). I have unused Personal Training sessions; will they be transferred? Our Personal Trainers are currently determining which Club will be the best new location for them and their clients. You are able to move your training sessions to any other Club that meets your needs, but your Personal Trainer will be having a one-on-one conversation with you to let you know which Club they will be moving their business to. All Pilates and Reformers class are being moved to the Toronto Dunfield Club (same class times and Instructors). I have laundry service as part of my Membership. What happens now? Please speak to an Associate at the front desk about reducing your Membership dues moving forward. What is happening with the Associates that work at the Club? We have a great team of Associates at our Club. We have found a spot at another nearby Club for every single one of them to transfer to immediately following the last day of operations.
