 The Department of Performing Arts, Christ University in collaboration with Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts presents IMAGINATE 2014 Inter-­‐‑College Contemporary Dance Competition A 'ʹDance Connect'ʹ Initiative for the Attakkalari India Biennial 2015 Event on Sat, 22 Nov 2014 at Christ University Auditorium Last date to register is 31 Oct 2014 Guidelines: 1. All participating groups have to represent their college at this event. In this respect, the groups have to submit a Letter of permission from their respective Dept. Heads, allowing them to participate in IMAGINATE 2014. 2. Min. 5 and max. 12 dancers in a group 3. This event is for a maximum of 20 teams (first 20 teams to register will qualify) 4. Each team will be given a max. of 10 mins. of stage time (6-­‐‑8 mins. of performance plus 2 mins. for stage in and out) 5. Works with original choreography will be encouraged 6. No Bollywood songs can be used in the performance 7. General lights/ sound set up will be provided 8. The participating teams are responsible to arrange for all extra tech and prop requirements (No dangerous props allowed) 9. Final music score of the performance has to be submitted a week before the event 10. No fire, water, dust or any material that will damage the auditorium floor is allowed. 11. Girls cannot wear sleeveless tops and bottoms should be minimum three-­‐‑fourths in length. 12. Any obscenity or vulgarity in terms of costumes or movements will result in disqualification of the team from the competition 13. If there are enough willing participants, a free workshop on Choreography/ Movement by senior members of the Attakkalari Repertory will also be organized for the participating groups 14. A max. of 3 teams from each college can participate 15. A special prize of Rs. 5,000 for the ‘Audience Choice’ award will be given after taking an audience poll.
