THE METHODIST HISTORICAL SOCIETY ANNUAL LECTURE will be held on Friday 24 October at 7.30pm in Edgehill
College. Subject – ‘Irish Methodists and the First World War’.
It is being given by Professor Keith Jeffery, Queen’s University, Belfast. He is son of the late Mr Fred Jeffery, VP of
Methodist College, Belfast. Keith has taken a special interest in Ireland’s role in the First World War, which was the
subject of his major series of lectures at Trinity College, Cambridge in 1998.
ACTION ON HEARING LOSS are working in partnership with the Health and Social Care Trust to provide a FREE
Hearing Aid Clinic in Ballyclare Community Services Centre, 76 Avondale Drive, Ballyclare on Thursday 30 October
from 10am to 12 noon.
Need your tubing replaced, batteries or information on how to get the best from your hearing aid? Concerned about your
hearing? Why not come along for information and advice. This is an open clinic - so no appointment needed
The Hear to Help project is a volunteer led service and we are looking for volunteers in your area to deliver the support
to your community. We need your help to provide this service on a monthly basis.
