October 17 (Friday): LUNCH AND LEARN – “MANAGING PAIN”, John Vu, M.D. Ochsner
Medical Center-North Shore, 100 Medical Center Drive, Camellia Room SLIDELL, 11:30 a.m. to

October 22 (Wednesday): Lights! Camera! Action! DINE AROUND and TOUR of Side
Props! (400 Garrett Road in Slidell) which supplies props to the numerous movie companies
filming in our area. Explore the 10,000 square foot warehouse with displays of over 50,000
movie props, along with a variety of prop vehicles. $20 paid in advance to Golden Opportunity.

October 28 (Tuesday): Bus trip to New Orleans School of Cooking and New Orleans

International Petroleum Museum (Patterson/Morgan City) $60pp Registration beginning 9/16/14.
December 4 – Golden Opportunity Holiday Get Together, Ashley Manor (Baton Rouge), 11:00 am –
2:00 pm. Entertainment by the WWII Victory Belles. Cost to be announced. Bus transportation will be
provided. Registration date to be determined.
December 7 thru 12, 2014 - A COUNTRY CHRISTMAS IN NASHVILLE! Celebrate the holiday
season at the beautiful, fun filled Gaylord Opryland Hotel. Includes motor coach transportation, hotel
accommodations, 9 meals and much more! Contact the GO office for more details. Registration
available beginning 8/19/14.

When a fee is involved, it must be received within 5 days of making the reservation to confirm your seat. Please check
availability with the GO office before mailing a check. All trips are non-refundable. Every attempt will be made to sell your
seat to someone on the waiting list if you need to cancel. YOU ARE NOT SCHEDULED FOR THE EVENT UNTIL THE
CHECK IS RECEIVED.
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL DUES - $10.00 PER PERSON / PER YEAR. Don’t miss out on future activities!
