INTRODUCTION
Malaysian Agricultural Innovation Challenge (MAgIC)
2014 is an exhibition and competition of innovation in
agriculture and agro based industry. The aims are to
promote a culture of innovation, provide opportunities
and exposure as well as uncover new technologies
and innovations amongst scientists, academicians,
students and individuals.
OBJECTIVES
1. Exhibit the achievements of research and
development (R&D) with innovation
2. Enhance creativity and generate new
innovations in developing the agriculture and
agro-based industry
3. Foster a culture of invention/innovation and
research in the agriculture and agro-based industry
4. Provide a platform for inventors to share
information and exchange ideas as well as to
explore business potential through business
matching
5. Encourage the involvement of all levels of society
in the areas of research and development (R&D)
and innovation

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
 Open for organizations, groups and individuals
 Participation can be in English or Bahasa Malaysia
and applications must be made online at
http://magic.mardi.gov.my
 Innovation must be original and innovative
 Each participation is required to submit innovation
summary/synopsis between 50 to 100 words
 Application is unlimited
 Only paid participations will be accepted
 Innovations that conflict with public, politics, morals
and general welfare are not eligible for participation

 MyMARDI InnoFund Grant
 Attachment at MARDI’s technology testbed or
incubator
