BACKGROUND - CURRO HOLDINGS
Curro was founded in 1998 with the establishment of Curro Durbanville Independent School.
Today, Curro Holdings, whose major shareholder is the PSG Group, is a JSE listed company. It is a market
leader in the provision of quality, independent school education in South Africa. Curro Holdings currently
manages 31 campuses, providing education to 27 000+ boys and girls and is aiming at managing 80
independent schools by 2020. During 2014 several schools are being developed to open in January 2015.
The CURRO HOLDINGS EDUCATIONAL MODEL is divided into five formal categories, namely:

Curro Academy Schools are based on the same model as the Meridian Schools, the main difference that
Curro Academies are owned by Curro Holdings. Curro Academy schools are based on a cost sensitive
model to ensure the lowest school fees possible, without compromising academic standards.

 Grade RR - Grade 10 in 2015. Grade 11 and 12 will phase in annually from 2016
SCHOOL FEES
 Once off Enrolment Fee: R1 880 per learner, to be paid once the learner has been accepted
 School Fees:

R1750 pm X 12 months
 Aftercare Fees:
R 650 pm x 12 months (meals included)
(School Fees include text books, basic stationery & participation in sport and culture)
PLEASE NOTE: Fees for 12 months are payable monthly in advance by means of debit order, electronic
funds transfer or cash deposit at the bank on or before the 2nd day of each calendar month (including
January) or annually in advance by 31 December by means of electronic funds transfer or cash deposit at
the bank. Please see the Application for Admission form for the Financial Terms and Conditions. Please
take note that NO CASH will be accepted at the school.

PLEASE NOTE: It is important to complete the Application for Admission form thoroughly and to attach
ALL the relevant supporting documents.
PLEASE NOTE: A learner must benefit from Curro Academy’s curriculum. Applicants are assessed
according to the normal entry requirements. In Gr 9 and Gr 10, only learners with academic merit and a
good behavioral reference will be considered for entrance.
PLEASE NOTE: Learners applying for admission may not be younger or two years older than the
appropriate age in each grade.

Once the application has been processed, you will receive an email or SMS informing you that the
application was successful or not. An invoice will be sent to you for the once off enrolment fee.

SCHOOL UNIFORM
The school uniform at all Curro Academy Schools is governed
by a basic Dress Code, with each school making slight
adjustments.
 Grd RR does not wear uniform.
 Gr R learners wear Curro Academy sport shorts and a
t-shirt in summer and a Curro Academy tracksuit in
winter.
 Learners from Gr 1 wear formal school uniform.
