MOMMY AND ME – Mommy and Me Class continues on Fridays at 11:00am on October 3, 24 and
31. Join Tami Rager for a movement class for babies accompanied by their parents and caregivers.
Learn, play, dance and smile with your baby and others. Rabbi Tobin joins the group for challah and
blessings to get ready for Shabbat. For more information or to reserve a spot, contact Leslie

PROJECT ISAIAH - B’nai Shalom’s Social Action Committee asks you to participate in project Isaiah
this Yom Kippur make sure there is food on someone else’s table. Share your food with the hungry,
please bring your non-perishable foods to the shul before kol nidre services at 6:10pm Friday,
October 3. The Kosher food pantry has requested some specific items that are most needed at the
food pantry, including: cereal, shelf -stable milk, tuna, soup, peanut butter, and canned vegetables
and fruit. All must have a hechsher, (kosher label), and not be outdated. Click HERE for the flyer.
KIDDUSH LUNCHEON IN THE SUKKAH – Thursday, October 9 following Sukkot services. Sisterhood
invites all to join us for lunch in the Sukkah. Please RSVP ASAP and consider a family sponsorship

SUKKAH HOP - enjoy Chol Hamoed Sukkot by visiting sukkot of B'nai Shalom members on Sunday,
October 12 from 10:30am to 12:30pm. If you have a sukkah and would like to be one of the host
families, please let Leslie Gleaner know asap. Also rsvp if you would like to participate as a guest.

SISTERHOOD SPECIAL SUKKOT EVENT WITH OUR OWN JANICE COLMAR - Sunday, October 12 at 7
PM. Let's talk about "In-laws and Outlaws." What can we learn about family relationships from
the Talmud and Tanakh? Join us in B'nai Shalom's sukkah (weather permitting) with our "ushpizin"

SIMCHAT TORAH CELEBRATION - Join us on Thursday Evening, October 16, 2014 6:00 pm. Hakafot,
dancing with the Torahs, our homemade Sweet treats and fun festivities. The celebration continues
on Friday morning, October 17 9:00am. More hakafot, dancing, everyone gets an aliyah, followed

LAMAZAL TOV - B’nai Shalom’s LAMAZAL TOV program combines childbirth education classes with
the Jewish traditions involved in welcoming a baby. Classes are Oct 19, Oct 26, Nov 2, Nov 9 and
Nov. 16. The program is taught by Nicole Bartfeld, Certified Labor Doula and Lamaze-trained

INTERNATIONAL SHABBOS PROJECT - The International Shabbos Project, one of the most
ambitious Jewish identity initiatives ever undertaken, is a unique, international grassroots Jewish
identity movement that unites all Jews to keep one Shabbat together. Hundreds of partners from
across the world are helping to coordinate, the International Shabbos Project, taking place in

THE 2014-2015 TORAH FUND PIN: Mishpachah - ‫ משפחה‬Family (again). The
silver and gold toned Torah Fund Pin for 5775 (2014-2015) is here! Women’s
League felt there was much more to do with Mishpachah, so they kept the
theme the same, but the pin is different. Donations in any amount are
gratefully accepted, but with a donation of $180 or more to support the
Jewish Theological Seminary and its affiliates, you can become a Benefactor
and receive this gift in recognition of your generous support. Donations may
