Payment for the Careers Fair is required prior to filling out the registration form on CareerHub as the receipt number must be provided. To register for the fair: 1. Proceed to the Careers Fair payment page first 2. When payment is done, make sure to have your receipt number handy 3. Click here to fill out your registration form for the Fair on CareerHub. 4. Your registration will be submitted for review to the Careers & Employment Centre and an email confirming your attendance at the fair will follow in the next 4‐5 working days. If you have forgotten the details of your CareerHub login, please contact the Careers and Employment Centre on (08) 9266 7802 or at [email protected] While all efforts will be made to accommodate everybody, places are limited and exhibitor’s participation will be at the discretion of the Curtin Careers & Employment Centre. Sponsorship Sponsorship options are available; please check the Careers website. Stands Each exhibitor’s stand will comprise of a 3m x 2.5m space that includes: 2 Tables; 2 Chairs; A pinup board; Signage. Payment Curtin Careers and Employment Centre will charge all exhibitors for payment via credit card only. A tax receipt will be issued. Please ensure that you have your credit card details ready when registering for the event. Should you have any questions about your payment, please contact Aimee Zan on (08) 9266 7802. Cancellations If you need to cancel your Curtin Careers Fair booking, please inform us immediately as some students may be coming specifically to see you. Any cancellations made prior to the 13h February 2015 will receive a 90% refund, but we regret that exhibitors cancelling after this date will forfeit their entire fee for the reserved booth space. All cancellations must be in writing. If representatives from your organisation do not show on the day of the Fair, your entire registration fee will be forfeited. Equipment Exhibitors are encouraged to bring their own display boards or free standing displays, however, please be aware of space restrictions and remember to allow room for your representatives and visitors at your stand. Whilst every care will be taken, the Careers and Employment Centre assumes no responsibility for the safekeeping of the equipment you bring. 4 Heavy Equipment Due to OSH regulations, all items required to be carried by Curtin staff must weigh less than 20kg. Items heavier or larger than stated above must be approved by the Curtin Careers and Employment Centre. Power Supply Please note that there is limited power supply to stands. Only a small number of stands are able to have access to power. You must request in writing that you need power as early as possible. Due to power being very limited it will be allocated at the time of request and we may not be able to fulfil all requests. Promotional Materials ‐ Advanced Deliveries If necessary, bulk literature supplies for your stand, portable exhibition stands and any promotional material, can be forwarded to Curtin Stadium in advance. Please note that it is the exhibitor’s responsibility to ensure deliveries are sent by 4 PM on the 4th of March, 2015 ‐ this is when Careers staff will be in the stadium to receipt its arrival. Attn: Curtin Stadium; Curtin Careers Fair 2015 Curtin University Building 111, Bentley Campus, Kent Street Perth WA 6102 Please also ensure that arrangements are made to collect the supplies from the stadium before 2:45 PM on the day of the fair. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, your advanced deliveries cannot be delivered until the day of the Fair, it is your responsibility to inform the Curtin Careers and Employment Centre of this arrangement prior to the Fair. Careers Centre staff will take delivery of the items on the day. While every care will be taken, items stored and moved will be done so at your own risk. Commitment to International Students Curtin has International students on the Bentley campus. As a University we are committed to providing opportunities for their career development. Many of these students will ask questions about working for your organisation both in Australia and overseas. It is important for the sake of equity and fairness that, as an employer, you are able to provide suitable information or contacts for the student to take away with them. 5 On the Day of the Fair Location Curtin University’s Bentley Campus is located on Kent Street, Bentley less than 10km South East of the Perth CBD. The fair will be held in the Curtin Stadium; Building 111. On Arrival Ushers/Volunteers will be available at the drop off area at the Curtin Stadium to receive your materials and to direct you to your stand. Please approach them on arrival (between 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM). Car Parking Curtin University has limited parking available on campus particularly during the teaching semester. Due to this, we can offer parking for only ONE vehicle per exhibitor in Car Park A3 to the north of Curtin Stadium. This car park has been allocated for employers attending the Career Fair and is off Kent Street ‐ Northern Entrance (see map: http://properties.curtin.edu.au/maps/index.cfm). Please request in writing for additional car parking. Loading/Unloading If you have items to unload from your vehicle, you can do so at Car Park A3. A Careers staff member or volunteer will be at the unloading area to assist you. Please refer to attached map. Refreshments/Lunch Lunch for two representatives, coffee and tea will be available from the catering room inside the stadium throughout the day – please refer to the catering map in your confirmation pack at the day of the fair. Additional lunch and refreshments can be provided at $15 per person. Rubbish Removal Please stack empty cardboard boxes and other rubbish neatly for easy removal at the end of the day. If you need rubbish cleared at any point during the Fair, please let a Careers staff member know. At the Conclusion of the Fair Please ensure that there are representatives at your booth for the duration of the Fair (11:00 AM to 2:00 PM) as this is the length of time that is advertised to students. Please ensure all displays and promotional materials are removed before the end of the day as the venue will be packed down after the Fair. Your feedback is very important to us. Please note: all information in this Exhibitors Guide is subject to change prior to the Careers Fair. Final confirmed details will be sent in your Exhibitor Confirmation Pack, which will be sent by email prior to the Careers Fair.
