At least five days prior to your appointment, you will need to purchase Debrox wax remover or hydrogen peroxide. (Do not count the day of your appointment, so if your appointment is on Wednesday, start with the ear wax prep on Friday.) Do not poke ear with Q-tips! This service is provided by ProHealth Physicians. ProHealth will be billing Medicare and / or your insurance company for the ear wax removal service. You may receive a balance due bill from ProHealth Physicians for any amount not covered by your insurances. ProHealth has offered to waive any outstanding balance over $5.00 so that the service can be offered to you at an affordable cost. Call the Senior Center for more information. Presented by: Miles Everett, RN & Diabetes Educator Thursday, October 9th at 11:00 a.m. Has your doctor told you that you may be at risk for heart disease, stroke or diabetes? Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of conditions– increased blood pressure, a high blood sugar level, excess body fat around the waist and abnormal cholesterol levels– that occur together, increasing your risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes. Having just one of these conditions does not mean you have metabolic syndrome; however any of these conditions increase your risk of serious disease. If one or more of these conditions occur in combination, the risk is even greater. Join Miles Everett to learn more about these conditions and how you can bring your numbers down to make your next visit to the doctor a positive one!
