GOLDEN POWER SERIES ROUND 5 SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS EASTERN LIONS KART CLUB 8TH & 9TH NOVEMBER 2014 1. Authority The meeting will be held under the International Sporting Code of the FIA, the General Karting Regulations of the AKA and any further addendums and bulletins to the regulations. Track direction is anti-clockwise. Track Capacity is 44 Karts. 4. Officials of the Meeting Chief Steward: TBA. Entry 1 $90.00 for first entry, $80.00 for second entry per class, ( GST, $20.00 towards the power series levy, $0.50 KA track levy. Inclusive) Payment by Cheque, Money Order or Credit Card must be received within four working days of your mail entry to confirm your participation. Entries close Monday night 3th November 2014 at 9 pm, for the program. Late entries taken from Tuesday 4th up until Friday 7th 4 pm, late entry fee $100.00. ONLINE ENTRY FOR THIS MEETING. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER 4 TH NOVEMBER 2014. Payment for entry are required before the event. Minimum Entries The minimum number of entries per class shall be 8 genuine entries. If insufficient entries are received for a class, classes will be cancelled and will not form for the series. 8. Format of Racing Race order to rotate by two classes per round . 3 heats of 8 Laps (approx 6 kilometres). Final of 12 Laps (approx 8 kilometres), 1 heat - draw, 2nd heat - reverse, 3rd heat - highest points, Final - grid positions will be highest points to the front and so on. Final only count for placing’s on the day. All points count on the day for the series. Points awarded field plus one position for DNF . No points awarded for DNS. The point system to be used for the round & the series is 401 less 10% . Please include your AMB seven digit number on the KA scrutineering form, and confirm this number at entry confirmation. NO PRACTICE FRIDAY -SET UP ONLY Confirmation of Entries will be taken on Friday 7th November from 1pm till 4.00pm. 9. Timetable Entry confirmation Practice Warm up Session Drivers Briefing Racing FRIDAY 1.00pm – 4.00pm No Practice SATURDAY 7.00am - 1O.00am SUNDAY None 8.00am (5 min per class) Following Warm up session 8.30am Completion of drivers Following drivers briefing briefing 2 heats only. 1 heat and Final. Trophy Presentations at completion of racing. 10. Mechanical Breakdown Lane : A mechanical breakdown lane will NOT be in use. 11. Abandonment or Postponement: The organisers reserve the right at their sole discretion to abandon, postpone or cancel any event(s) subject to Rule 11.09. 12. Prizes Trophies will be awarded to 1st 2nd & 3rd in each class at each round. (Series trophies pays top three) 13. Insurance has been affected for this meeting in accordance KA 2014 manual 14. Noise Levels Maximum permissible noise levels shall be in accordance with Chapter 24. 15. Fuel. (refer Rule 22.01) Random samples of competitor's fuel will be taken during this meeting and tested for conformity. 2 16 Judges of Facts below - as per duties of the 2014 KA Manual 17 Engine Sealing Midgets & Rookies as per 2014 KA Manual 18 Engine Sealing as per Rule 19.33.9 19. Transponder Location ; As per KA rule 25.30 20. All pit crew will need to have a pit crew pass or wrist band and have your own yellow /green vest to get onto areas that require them to be used. 21 Camping: Is allowed at the track in designated area only. Background Note :Article 65 of the International Sporting Code of the FIA, under which all competitions will be conducted, sets out the information that should be included in the Supplementary Regulations. These supplementary Regulations are to be read in conjunction with the General Standing Regulations and Australian Kart Formula for Sprint Racing as laid down in the 2014 manual Parking of motor vehicles is not permitted in the pits or areas stated as “No Parking” areas Smoking or welding is not allowed in the designated pit areas Dumping of fuel is not permitted No animals are allowed on ELKC property (registered Guide and Assistance dogs excepted) No bikes, scooters, skateboards, rollerblades permitted – they will be confiscated for the duration of the meeting. Hire marquees are not to be erected without the knowledge and approval of ELKC It is a condition of entry to display sponsor decals on karts as directed by the promoters. All lucky prize draws will be done for competitors that have competed in all five rounds.
