NOTICE
ONE YEAR COMPULSORY RURAL POSTING OF MBBS DOCTORS
UNDER NHM, ASSAM
It is for the information to all concerned MBBS doctors who have applied for
compulsory one year rural service under NHM, Assam in response to this office
advertisement No. NRHM/MO-MBBS/RP/96/09-10/Pt-IV/ 8946 Dated 01/09/2014 that the
following procedure will be adopted for selection of place of posting.
1. Merit list based on the percentage of marks obtained in final MBBS exams will be
published in the NHM website (www.nrhmassam.in) on 23/10/2014 Merit list is prepared
as per Govt. order no HLB. 400/2009/pt.1/150 dated Dispur the 8th April, 2011.
2. The list of Health Institutions including difficult areas for posting of MBBS doctors
for one year compulsory rural service will be published in NHM website on 23/10/2014.
3. A counseling session for selection of places of posting of the MBBS doctors will be held
on 01/11/2014 at the Auditorium of Gauhati Medical College & Hospital,
Bhangagarh, Guwahati-32. The candidate will have to attend the counselling session
along with all the original testimonials at 10 am positively.
4. During counselling, available vacant positions and allotted postings will be displayed on
a screen continuously.
5. In the counselling, candidates will be called as per merit list and he/she will be allowed to
select the place of posting from the published list and on the spot selection letter will be
handed over to the candidate, after selection of place of posting by the candidate.
6. If any candidate can not attend in the counselling due to unavoidable reasons, in that case
he/she may authorise any other person in writing along with relevant documents and the
decision/selection of place of posting of the authorized person will be treated as
decision/selection of the candidate. (Sample authorization letter will be available in the
NHM website : www.nrhmassam.in)
7. Once a candidate selects and accepts a place of posting, he/she will not be allowed to
alter the place of posting on the counselling day.
