postmarked after 10/23/14 will not be processed. Race day registration will be available.
I know that running and volunteering to work in races is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and run the Shawnee Marathon
unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run.
I assume all risks associated with running and/or volunteering to work in the Shawnee Marathon, including but not limited to falls, contact with
other participants, the effects of weather, including high heat or humidity, the condition of the road and traffic on the course, all such risks being
known to me. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, and in consideration of your acceptance of my application, I, for myself, and
anyone entitled to act on my behalf waive and release the Shawnee Marathon and all sponsors of the event, any and all members thereof, their
representatives, successors from claims or liability of any kind arising out of my participation in the Shawnee Marathon even though that liability
may arise out of negligence or carelessness on recordings, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose. By signing this waiver
form, I agree that for safety reasons, headphones, strollers, baby joggers, skates, skateboards, and animals are not permitted in this event.
