JOB TITLE: Financial Analyst (15 month Contract)

Position Summary
We are currently seeking a results-driven individual to join our Finance team in the role of
Financial Analyst at our Kitchener, Ontario office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a

executing the analysis and forecasting of operations and sales data trends to ensure that crossfunctional teams have "best in class" data required to execute business plans with excellence.
Key Objectives/Responsibilities
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include the following:
 Manage inventory processes including monthly/annual inventory counts, inventory
variance analysis and follow up, management of inventory system (BOM creation,
inventory part set up, etc.)
 Complete month-end tasks (preparation of journal entries, reviewing internal financial
statements, etc.) primarily regarding inventory, and other items as required.
 Analyzing balance sheet and income statement accounts, preparing reconciliations,
reviewing budget variances and determining root cause(s)
 Manage capital asset sub-ledger and related processes; monitor adherence to budget and
proactively address deviations
 Commercial analysis – responsible for assisting in the preparation of commercial ad hoc
reporting (i.e. scorecards, tracking and reporting ROI for initiatives, analysis of sales data
and trends, price and margin
 Participate in development and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators for planning,
production, and commercial teams
 Provide recommendations for process and workflow improvements as well as innovative
and creative new ideas
 Complete administrative tasks as necessary (including photocopying, contract filing, etc.)
 Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience









University/College degree preferably in Accounting or Business
1-2 years’ experience in an Operations/Sales Analyst or Finance role
Intermediate to expert knowledge in Microsoft Excel
Proven ability to develop and leverage partnerships to enhance business development
Results driven, self-starter with an innovative and creative mindset
Demonstrated superior planning and leadership skills with effective time management
Exceptional analytical and attention to detail skills
Experienced negotiating skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
Assets




Understanding of packaged goods - preferably in the beverage industry
Experience in manufacturing environment
Hands on experience with accounting databases and systems
Completed or pursuing an Accounting designation
