ABOUT THE INSTITUTIONS
Rajalakshmi Engineering College (REC) was
established in the year 1996. REC offers 10 under
graduate courses, 8 post graduate courses and 8
departments are approved as research centers.
REC is accredited by NBA (National Board of
Accreditation) and NAAC (National Assessment
and Accreditation Council). Rajalakshmi Institute
of Technology (RIT) was established in the year
2008. RIT offers 5 under graduate courses. RIT has
been conferred the “First Gold Rated Technical
Education Campus in India” from Indian Green
Building Council (IGBC). Both colleges are affiliated
to Anna University and approved by All India
Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New
Delhi and Government of Tamilnadu.
ABOUT ISTE
The Indian Society for Technical Education is a
national, professional, non-profit making Society
registered under the Societies Registration Act of
1860. First started in 1941 as the Association of
Principals of Technical Institutions (APTI), it was
converted into "Indian Society for Technical
Education" in 1968 with a view to enlarge its activities
to advance the cause of technological education in
the country. The major objective of the ISTE is to
assist and contribute in the production and
development of top quality professional engineers
and technicians needed by the industries and other
organizations.
