Our 1 day course combines case presentations with
over 4 hours of demos and ‘hands-on’ casting and
splinting. CASTED reviews in detail:

various physical exam ‘pearls’
ED management of over 80 specific diagnoses
numerous ED casts, splints and reductions.
We want you to understand ED ortho – not just
memorize it! During the course, as you put on casts
and splints, CASTED faculty offers practical tips on the
proper application and moulding techniques. By the
end of the course, you will have the confidence that you
are doing it right!
CASTED was created by Dr. Arun Sayal, an emergency
physician who also runs a weekly Minor Fracture Clinic
at North York General Hospital in Toronto. CASTED
faculty are emergency physicians (with ortho interest)
and orthopedic technologists selected for their clinical
and teaching excellence.

CME Accreditation:
CFPC: This program meets the accreditation criteria of
the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has
been accredited for up to 9 Mainpro-C credits.
RCPSC: This event is an Accredited Group Learning
Activity (9 hours, Section 1) as defined by the
Maintenance of Certification program of The Royal
College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and
