O Lord, support us all the day long,
until the shadows lengthen,
and the evening comes,
and the busy world is hushed,
and the fever of life is over,
and our work is done.
Then in your mercy,
grant us a safe lodging and a holy rest,
and peace at the last.
Amen.

REMINDER
There are no classes, Tuesday, November 4 (Election Day).
Children’s Liturgy Of the Word
We are happy to announce that we will be having Children’s Liturgy of the Word at the
11am Mass on the following Sundays:
November 9, December 14, January 11, February 8, March 8,
and April 12.
What is Children’s Liturgy of the Word?
Children’s Liturgy of the Word is when right after the opening prayer, but before the readings, children are called up by the priest and accompanied by Catechists to the Worship
Room in the Parish Center. There, they hear and reflect on the readings at an age appropriate level, sing the Responsorial Psalm, the Gospel Acclamation and recite a simple Creed
before returning to the church to join the rest of the community for the Liturgy of the
Eucharist. This will take approximately 20 minutes. During this time the adults and anyone
else in the church will be hearing the readings as they usually do.
How can my child participate in the Children’s Liturgy of the Word?
When you come to the 11:00 am Mass on the Sundays listed above, follow the directions of
the priest when he calls the children forward to be sent to the Worship Room in the Parish
Center. Any child in Level 1 or above is invited to participate.

Are You Confirmed?
(Christians in Action)
Hi Everyone!
First, I would like to thank you all for participating in our first C.I.A. Youth
Ministry Meeting of the new year! We started our first meeting off on the
right foot, with pizza, of course, and with all the kids talking together and
introducing themselves, as well as sharing their thoughts about the experience
of Confirmation! We also discussed future meetings and had the kids give us
their ideas of what they'd like to accomplish as members of the C.I.A. Youth
Ministry. Some of their ideas really took us by surprise, including more meetings, longer meetings, and getting involved in some awesome community service
projects. All their ideas were noted and will be taken into consideration for
building this year’s calendar. We ended our meeting by playing a game of dodge
ball, which I'm sure, was the highlight of the evening for the group. Overall, we
couldn't be more excited about the turnout for our first meeting and how well
all the kids bonded and worked together.
We hope the excitement and positive energy carries over into our next meeting
on:
Tuesday, November 18th at 7pm in the Parish Center.
Please wear your favorite team’s jersey.
We are using this as a tool to show our unity,
while also showing individuality.
We plan to discuss, and involve the kids in workshops regarding friendship
and relationships at this meeting. You won't want to miss out!
If you haven't signed up already, please do so by emailing us back at
[email protected] .
We look forward to seeing you!
God Bless,
Brianna Cashman & Cara Cliffe
