A PLACE AT THE TABLE
The Easton Hunger Coalition, which represents all food
pantries and soup kitchens in Easton, is making the film "A
Place at the Table" available for viewing on Monday,
November 24th at 1:30pm and 7:00pm in the Monsignor
Gobitas Meeting Room in St. Jane's Church. A panel
discussion will follow. Fifty million people in America - one
in four children - don't know where their next meal is
coming from. This film portrays what it is like to be "food
insecure" in America today. This powerful, award winning
film reveals how three families struggle with food
insecurity, describes the history of the problem in our
nation, and suggests some ways that we could improve
access to healthy food for all Americans. For more
information please contact Tony Fague at 610-253-8140 or
Dennis and Ellen Potter at 610-253-0814.
