The Mousai Chamber Music Ensemble. Mousai includes flutist Janet Bebb, oboist Ann van Bever, clarinetist Chris Cox and pianist Maria Choban. This program includes music for winds and piano by one of America’s foremost African American composers, William Grant Still, and by Portland’s world-­renowned Tomas Svoboda. Lewis & Clark College pianists, instrumentalists and singers—in recital. Laurel Alyn-­Forest, soprano, and Kathy Jensen on piano perform a selection of classical songs that embodies our affinity for nature's wisdom at it shines through the centuries. Featuring works by Faure, Debussy, Schubert, Strauss and more. Tapestry Strings perform-­-­ the quartet will present a program on that day consisting of Mendelssohn, Jason Heald, and possibly some short Peggy Swafford offerings.
Heartstrings Trio. -­-­Nancy and Rob Downie-­-­Heartstrings is a Portland, Oregon based husband-­and-­
wife duo playing "music for all times" — period and historical as well as contemporary. Michael Barnes, Organist of Westminster Presbyterian Church and Temple Beth Israel will play holiday favorites on the historic Hook & Hastings tracker organ of 1883. Jennifer McDonald-­voice, Tracey Edson-­piano, and Rachel Lindeken-­ violin perform Christmas music by John Jacob Niles, Peter Warlock, Ned Rorem, Norman Dello Joio and more. No Sack Lunch Concerts.
