The Aeolian Singers warmly invite you to join them for their popular annual celebration
of Christmas. The concert of carols and seasonal songs will take place in the sparkling
setting of the Christmas Tree Festival at St John’s Church in Boxmoor. The theme this
year is ‘O Come All Ye Faithful’ and the trees will be decorated to represent a Christmas
Carol or Song. Aeolian Singer’s choice is ‘Ring Out Wild Bells’ to commemorate Colin
Curtler, one of our long standing basses who sadly died this summer.
The programme includes John Owen Edwards ‘Wassail’ and Holst’s ‘Christmas Day’
and, the audience will be invited to join in with singing some traditional favourites.
Stephen Jones, Musical Director of the Aeolian Singers, will conduct the concert, and the
choir will be accompanied by organist Robin Kimber, trumpeter Sean Bracebridge and
pianist Anna Le Hair. Anna is the choir’s rehearsal accompanist and Deputy Conductor
and pursues a busy career as soloist and teacher. We are also very pleased to be joined by
children from Leverstock Green Primary School.
Drinks and mince pies will be served in the interval
All seating is unreserved with ticket prices as follows:
Adult: £12, which includes one free ticket for a child (under 16 years)
Each additional child: £3
