Quante™ BSTG Block
The BSTG block is a modular solution
block for MDF applications. These
blocks are suitable for both line side
and exchange side in the main
distribution frame.
The 16 mm (0.63 in.) pitch between
STG connection modules contributes
to the compact design of the BSTG
block. For instance, 1600 pairs can be
installed on a 2.6 m (8.5 ft.) vertical.
Equipment cable is routed inside the
backmount frame.
The blocks are equipped with STG
range of multipurpose connection
modules with the following facilities:
• Connection/disconnection
• Test facility
• IDC modules with insertion tool
• Full range of single or multipair
protection plugs.
BSTG blocks offer all of the
advantages of the latest range of STG
modules:
• Cat. 5 transmission performance
• Very high connection density
• Fast cabling
• Completely protected IDC contacts
• Improved wire retention

configurations of the blocks is

Description
Application in Network
STG 2000 is the lastest evolution of
STG range of connection modules.
This module offers Category 5
transmission performance as a
standard. As a result, this module can
be used in any modern network and is
fully compatible with a variety of
applications (xDSL, Pairgain™, etc.).
Termination is easy and cable jumpers
can be managed from the rear or from
the side.
• Suitable for high-density installation
(2400 pair single-sided crossconnection cabinets, 1600 pairs on
2.6 m (8.53 ft.) vertical MDF,
containerized exchanges, etc.)
• STG 2000 modules are suitable for
public telephony (MDF, crossconnection cabinets, building
distribution) as well as for private
telephony and high data rates
transmission

for the outside plant. These boxes are
mainly used in pole or wall mount
applications.
BMS box is based on BMX
distribution point as BDS is based on
BDX multipurpose box for outside
plant. These boxes are equipped with
STS connection modules. For all
technical features or description,
please refer to BMX and BDX pages.
BMS / BDS are offering all the
accessories (strain relief devices, earth
post). Optional locks can be ordered
separately.
