Alas, although it isn't official, it is feeling more like winter every day and the leaves are starting to fade and drop. But, there is still much to celebrate. November has a lot of fun facts and great holidays and things to do. Meetings start at 9:00am on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, Sept - May. All meetings, except the Dec & May meetings, are at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church (600 Prices Fork Rd.). Did you know? 1. The birthstone for November is the topaz. 2. We were able to give a total of six cases of maxi pads each to the nurses at Blacksburg High School, and Blacksburg Middle School. Our collection in November will be for the Montgomery Christmas Store. They have requested gently used clothing. Thank you for all you do! November Sat 8 – at 5:30pm- “To Our House” Shelter Fest Fundraiser at Carl McNeil’s Litter River Bluegrass Barn. Tickets include dinner from Due South BBQ and music by The John Cowan Band. “To Our House” is a group of churches and organizations in this community that partner to provide meals and shelter for homeless men At each of the participating businesses, the shopper during the winter.
