KIESERLING AND IPSEN CONTRACT LOGISTICS
JOIN FORCES IN BREMEN
Bremen, 5 November 2014 – With Kieserling Holding GmbH's acquisition of a 50 percent holding in Ipsen
Contract Logistics GmbH & Co. KG, the Bremen logistics company Kieserling and IPSEN LOGISTICS will pool
their logistics activities in the Hanseatic city with effect from 1 January 2015.
Ipsen Contract Logistics is part of the global IPSEN LOGISTICS organisation, whose roots can be traced back to
the traditional forwarding company established in Bremen in 1891. The contract logistics company is a
specialist in global supply chain management services, particularly in the integrated air and sea freight sector.
Eduard Dubbers-Albrecht, together with Hans-Christian Specht, Managing Partner of IPSEN LOGISTICS, expects
multiple synergies from a company configuration involving new shareholder Kieserling: "We are combining a
regional presence with the state-of-the-art structures and capacities of an internationally expanding logistics
company. This configuration expands the scope of our activities and creates space for the sustainable growth
of our company," says Dubbers-Albrecht.
As a medium-sized contract logistics firm with a successful track record of 20 years, Ipsen Contract Logistics
is an experienced partner in the areas of industrial supplies, decorative goods, toys and medical supplies. With
a staff of 40, the company operates in a warehouse measuring approx. 20,000 square metres of which 700
square metres are approved for hazardous goods storage in Bremen's port.
Its portfolio of services includes everything associated with shipment management, such as the processing of
import transactions, order picking and returns management.

Kieserling Holding "The customer structure and corporate culture are a perfect fit."
The traditional Bremen company Kieserling is the contract logistics arm of Compass Logistics International AG.
In addition to Kieserling, companies specialising in transport and distribution, air and sea freight, hazardous
goods transport and project logistics are also part of the Group. The Group employs a staff of 1,500 who work
at 41 locations in 18 countries. Customers include multinational companies in the oil and gas industry, textile
and furniture firms, plant manufacturers and companies in the FMCG sector. Only just last summer, Kieserling
took over operations at K+P Logistik GmbH in the German town of Schwentinental, expanding its national
warehouse capacity by 60,000 square metres.
