into 3 terms. We supply question papers for both unit tests and term exams.

the termwise division in syllabus.
The date for ‘Rainbow Talent Search Exam’ has been tentatively fixed for Saturday

SCHEDULE OF WORK 2014-15
NURSERY SECTION
We have two types of books for the Nursery section.
1.
Termwise books (Leaps and bounds) for LKG and UKG - English Medium
Integrated Books: Wherein the subjects are integrated into modules. Each module is
based on a theme.
Subjectwise Books: Wherein the portions are divided based on the four subjects English, Arithmetic, General Knowledge and Colouring.
We also have a separate book for Malayalam.

LKG and UKG Eng. Med. and Mal. Med.
There are separate books for each subject for LKG and UKG, both English and Malayalam
Mediums. The five subjects are English, Arithmetic, General Knowledge, Malayalam and
Colouring.
EXAMINATIONS
LKG - E.M. & M.M., UKG -MM AND LEAPS AND BOUNDS LKG
There will be three Terminal Examinations for the above classes for the academic year.

There will be three Terminal Examinations and two Unit Tests (2nd and 3rd Unit Test) for

Please Note: For oral exams, simple activities like shading, colouring etc. may be included.
For each unit test / term exam questions will be set according to the portions of syllabus
denoted in the Scheme of Work. For all written exams, the answers are to be written in the
question paper itself.

The cost of the question papers being ordered for one academic year should be sent in
advance along with the order for question papers. And those orders for question papers which
are not followed with the amount will not be accepted.

Colouring- Colouring question paper will be printed in black and white and will cost Rs. 2.00/Total cost per student for 3 terms
for all question papers

The total cost of the question papers for one academic year should be paid in advance,
before 1st July 2013 by DD/MO or Cash in favour of Rainbow Publishers Pvt. Ltd. to the
address mentioned in page 1. Those schools who prefer to pay directly into the bank may
deposit in any of our a/cs mentioned hereunder and intimate us regarding the payment made in

SUPPLY OF QUESTION PAPERS
Question papers are printed in due course on quality paper (multicolour for term exams)
and are supplied to member schools 5 days prior to the date of commencement of the

examinations. Question papers are sent to schools by Post. If, in any case the question papers
are not received before the date, please confirm with our office. For any queries regarding

TIMETABLE
Timetable for Unit Tests and Terminal Examinations are attached herewith. All schools
should conduct the examination according to the timetable charted by the board. If a holiday
falls on an examination day that exam should be postponed to a date after finishing the other
examinations according to the timetable.

LEAPS AND BOUNDS
The concept of these books is an all inclusive one, the activities are all theme based and
integrated wherein various learning skills are introduced. Dividing them strictly on the basis of subjects
is not very easy. All the same we have tried for the sake of convenience to divide the various skills
broadly into four sections- English, Arithmetic, General Knowledge and Colouring. Please note that
certain skills like Writing skills, Observation skills, Reasoning skills related to English, General
Knowledge or Arithmetic will come under that particular section.

Teachers please note: While teaching addition tables, the children need to learn the addition facts only
till sum 10. (e.g. 7 + 3, 5 + 5, 6 + 4, etc.). Only such sums will be asked for the examination. Additions
wherein the sum exceeds 10 (like 9 + 4, 7 + 5, 8 + 3 and so on) will not be asked for the tests and exams.
Similarly with subtraction also, the children need to do only simple sums below 10 (like 10 - 4,
8 - 3 and so on). Sums like (12 - 3, 15-4, etc. will not be asked for the tests and exams). In UKG
Book-3, pages 90 and 91 on place value need not be taught. Similarly the names of the days of the week
and months of the year are to be learnt orally. The children need not learn these spellings and it will not
be asked for the exams.
