MJDF PART 2 STUDY COURSE GUIDE 2014/15
MJDF PART 2 STUDY COURSE GUIDE 2014/15 WHAT IS THE MJDF An assessment, developed jointly by the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK) and the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. The aim is to assess knowledge, the application of knowledge and candidates’ understanding of the structures and processes required to provide quality assured dental healthcare. It assesses the knowledge and experience expected following a 2 year foundation programme. It is suitable for any dental practitioner whether they are pursuing a career in primary or secondary care, at any stage of their career. The diploma consists of two examinations that cannot be sat concurrently: Part 1 – A written paper consisting of multiple choice questions (MCQs) Part 2 – An objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) and Structured clinical reasoning (SCR) exercises. The MJDF examination is organised into Spring and Autumn diets. The course is tailored for candidates wishing to sit part 2 of the exam in November 2014. WHO ARE WE? THE TUTORS. Robert Hetherington is the lead tutor for the 2014 course, he has gained the MJDF qualification and has experience working in secondary care and the community dental service. He currently works in general practice, so therefore understands the difficulties you may encounter balancing work, study and family life. He is committed to giving as much one-on-one support as possible and sharing his experiences of the examination process to better equip candidates.
