CEC Sports Update
Girls Volleyball

Tournament Runners-up!
Team 2 were the finalists at the Sydney Smash Invitational Tournament with a 6-1 win loss record. They
finished 1st in their pool with straight set wins over North Nova, Richmond, Memorial 1, and Riverview
1. Defeated Etoile de LAcadie in the quarter finals and Sydney Academy in the semi-finals before losing
two straight to Riverview 1 in the finals.
Team 1 defeated Lockview (25-8, 25-21), split with Citadel (25-27, 25-16), and lost to Bridgewater (2225, 22-25) at the Pre-Regional Round Robin in Bridgewater on Sunday.

Results:
The CEC boys volleyball team took the Bronze medals this past weekend at the annual Sackville
Kingfisher Invitational defeating the Horton Griffins in three sets 20-25, 25-18, 15-11. CEC finished
second in pool play splitting their opening sets with Citadel Phoenix 20-25, 25-21 before rattling off wins
Dartmouth (25-13, 25-17)
CP Allen (25-12, 25-21) Halifax West (25-13, 25-5) and a split with West Kings (26-27, 25-18). Cobequid
defeated host Sackville in the quarter-finals 25-14, 25-20 and followed with a semifinal loss to Ecole de
Sommet 21-25, 17-25.
Citadel defeated Sommet in straight sets to win the pre-provincial tuneup tournament.
