Cardmember Special TERMS & CONDITIONS
The Cardmembers will be bound by the Terms and Conditions mentioned in the “Cardmember
Agreement” and the web site of http://loyalty.sampathbank.lk/Ultramiles , in addition to the
“Cardmember Special Terms and Conditions” mentioned herein.
a) All Sampath Bank American Express® Platinum Ultramiles Credit Cardmembers are eligible to
participate in the Ultramiles loyalty programme.
b) In order to redeem or to participate in Ultramiles Loyalty programme the Cardmember has to register
online at http://loyalty.sampathbank.lk/Ultramiles.
c) Sampath Ultramiles are earned in respect of both Basic and Supplementary Credit Cards transactions.
d) Only the Basic Cardmember can redeem the total Ultramiles available.
e) Welcome offer - Cardmembers will be entitled to earn up to 35,000 Ultramiles on an accelerated
programme as follows:
a. All Cardmembers will be awarded 5000 Ultramiles FREE on activation of the Card
b. Cardmembers will be given the opportunity of earn the next 30,000 Ultramiles on their spending in
the first three (3) months from the date of card issuance on the following basis:
i.
3 Ultramiles for every Rs. 100 spent locally
ii.
5 Ultramiles for every Rs. 100 spent overseas
c. Total earning is subject to a maximum of 35,000 Ultramiles (inclusive of the 5000 free Ultramiles)
d. No minimum spending requirement at redemption
f) How to earn Ultramiles - The Cardmember will earn Ultramiles as below:
a.
1 Ultramile for every Rs. 100 spent locally*
b.
2 Ultramiles for every Rs. 100 spent overseas*
c.
2 Ultramiles for every Rs. 100 spent locally on travel and dining^
d.
4 Ultramiles for every Rs. 100 spent overseas on travel and dining^
*Spending on the Card other than payments related to travel, dining, cash advances and debits made to
the Card in the form of fees, charges, statutory levies or any other payments as determined by the Bank.
^The Card spending on travelling, dining and lodging payments. Transportation – Railways, Taxis, Buses,
Cruises, Boats, Airlines, Car Rentals Local & Foreign Travel Agencies, Hotels, Restaurants, Duty Free
shops
g) Redemption of Ultramiles – Cardmember will be able to Redeem, earned Ultramiles on the following
basis:
a. To Redeem Ultramiles the Cardmember should first register at the Ultramiles WEB portal
“http://loyalty.sampathbank.lk/Ultramiles”.
b. Thereafter the Cardmember can redeem by logging in to the Ultramiles WEB Portal
“http://loyalty.sampathbank.lk/Ultramiles”.
c. No minimum earning required for Redemption of Ultramiles.
d. Ultramiles once redeemed would be deleted / removed from the respective Cardmembers’
Ultramiles Account.
e. Redemption requests once made and processed will not be cancelled or changed.
f. Ultramiles earned are not convertible to cash or Card account.
g. Only non delinquent Cardmembers can redeem Ultramiles.
h) Accelerated Airline Partners - 5 Ultramiles will be earned for every Rs 100 spent through our
Accelerated Airlines Partners. To enjoy this promotion, Cardmembers must purchase their Singapore
Airlines tickets on the website www.singaporeair.com or their SilkAir tickets on the website
www.silkair.com or from the Singapore Airlines local office at Ground Level, Aitken Spence Tower II No.
315, Vauxhall Street, Colombo 02. Benefits accorded by the Partner to Cardmembers shall be upon
presentation and verification of their Card at the Singapore Airlines check-in counters at the Colombo
Airport. The promotion will be valid from 01st October 2014 to 30th October 2015.
This offer cannot be combined with any other existing offer. The Bank shall not be held liable by the
Cardmember for any claims, losses, damages or quality of goods and services that may be caused by the
Partner. The Bank accepts no responsibility in any way for any goods / services purchased from the
Partner and any dispute relating to the same should be resolved by the Cardmember directly with the
Partner and any claim by the Cardmember against the Partner will not relieve the Cardmember from
his/her obligations or repayment to the Bank. The general terms and conditions of the Bank and the
Partner (including the Partner’s conditions of contract and conditions of carriage) shall apply.
Accelerated Airline Partners and terms of the promotion may be changed at the discretion of the bank
and will be communicated from time to time.
i) Renewal Gift - At Renewal of the Card, a 50% discount for Ultramiles redemption to any destination
through 900 airlines will be offered to the Cardmember for one air-ticket redemption on following basis;

Offer is valid up to 3 months from date of Renewal of the Card
Discount will be awarded subject to a maximum of 10,000 Ultramiles per Cardmember
j) Sampath Bank reserves the right to change the conversion rate at which Cardmember will earn
Ultramiles and will advise Cardmember via mailers or statement messages, or messages affixed on the
statement (stickers) or on the statement envelope or via print advertisements, or via a message on
Sampath Ultramiles website of “http://loyalty.sampathbank.lk/Ultramiles” after the changes have been
made.
