POSADA RETURNS!
A calendar is now available in the hall so that you can choose
to take Mary and Joseph into your homes on a date that suits.
Mary and Joseph will be welcomed back to the church at our
Christingle Service on Christmas Eve.
Our aim is to refocus the Advent preparations and is a
reminder to us of the many people who are without
shelter or care not just in Advent but all the year round.
Suggested donations of £5 can be put in an envelope marked
Posada and put in the offering plate.
Thank you to everyone who bought or donated to the
Remembrance Crosses. A donation of £235 was sent to Poppy
Scotland. The display in the grounds at the main door of the church
th
will remain in place until Sunday 30 November 2014.

JOB ADVERT

Project worker – maternity cover to end August 2015


Chalmers-Ardler Children and Family Project was established by Chalmers-Ardler
Church of Scotland to provide a safe and welcoming environment for children and
their parents/grandparents or carers, where children can be encouraged to develop
and where support can be provided to both children and adults.
The duties of the post include assisting the Project Leader –
to organise and provide a programme of play and activities for children,

programme of activities for adults as well as encouraging participation in the
children’s activities. The salary is £120.75 per week. The hours of work are 9am
to 12 noon each weekday. It is anticipated that the maternity cover would run
until the end of August 2015. The successful candidate should have experience
in a childcare setting, in either the professional or voluntary sector, and a
relevant qualification to HNC level; and will be required to obtain clearance under
the Protection of Vulnerable Groups legislation.
