2014-2015 Hot Lunch Prices: Full meal $3.50; Main entrée only $2.00; Extra entrée w/full meal $1.00; Salad only $1.50;
Fruit, dessert, chips, tator tots, water, 100% juice and/or snack cart (All available daily) .50/item.
Wednesday, 12/17: Kim Johnson Thursday, 12/18: Kim Johnson & Julie Hammer Friday, 12/19: Christmas Breakfast
MONDAY, 1/5/15: Mostaccoli, breadstick, fruit or salad & chocolate chip cookie.
D.C. PIZZA will be available, every Tuesday. Tony’s pizza, of Beecher, will supply the pizza and orders will
be taken (and paid for), on Tuesday mornings, for $2.50 per slice. Choices include sausage, pepperoni or cheese.
Snacks and/or water will be available for 50¢ each. P.T.L. lunch money may NOT be used to purchase pizza!
Hot lunch information (including menu and account balance) is available on Fast Direct!
Hot Lunch Assistance Needed! If you are available to help with this program from 10:30am -1:00pm on any
Monday, Wednesday or Friday, please contact Mrs. Rhonda Stadt (946-9017).
PRAYER REQUESTS: Please pray for Annette (friend of the Muehlberg family) was diagnosed with liver cancer and
is undergoing treatment; Mr. Scot Latino (Elizabeth’s dad) is anticipating surgery, on 12/29/14, Mrs. Sylvia Robinson (great
grandma of Alex Vandermay) has pneumonia, Mr. Rob Zwart (Ms. Lucy’s brother) had recent open heart surgery,
Gabriel Estby (6th grade) will have ongoing testing for hearing loss. Please call Ms. Lucy (946-2272) with prayer requests.
HEALTH ALERT: There was a case of Strep Throat reported in the four year old preschool class. There was also a case of
Pink Eye reported in the three year old preschool class.
DECEMBER CHAPEL OFFERINGS are designated to Zion’s tuition assistance program. Please prayerfully consider
generous giving.
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 16: Our 3 yr old preschool Christmas Program will be held at 10:00am & NO “PM” class will
be in session.
A CHRISTMAS PROGRAM will be enjoyed on Wednesday, Dec. 17th, at 2:00pm and/or 7:00pm - Lessons and
Carols Service - 5-8 choir and Wednesday Bell Choir. Oh Come Let Us Adore Him together ~ IN WORSHIP!
CHRISTMAS BREAKFAST VOLUNTEERS:
On December 19th, thank you to the following, that have
volunteered to assist with our P.T.L. Christmas Breakfast: Kim Sparenberg, Kim Kettmann, Crystal Johnson, Mike Kuhlman,
Kim Johnson, Matthew Collins, Cindy Gulyban, Brian Forbes, Steve Napierkowski & Scot Latino. If you are unable to
assist, please call Rhonda 946-9017. Please report to the kitchen at 8:00am!
CHRISTMAS: We will have 11:10am early dismissal with “NO” dismissal bus service ~ on Friday, December 19th. No
B.A.S.C. service will be available at dismissal time. This will begin our Christmas vacation and classes resume on Monday,
January 5, 2015. Have a blessed Christmas & New Year!

CHEERLEADING PRACTICES: Practices will be held every Tuesday, from 3:00-4:30pm. Athletic physicals must be on

Basketball questions may be directed to Coach and Athletic Director, Mr. Jordan Hopman.

HEALTH REMINDER: Parents ~ Please be aware of the policy stated in the handbook regarding student illness. Students
are not permitted to attend school until they are fever free (without the use of medication) as well as symptom free ~ for
24 hours. Thank you!
LIBRARY VOLUNTEERS
: Thursday, December 18: Steven Napierkowski.
MISSING LIBRARY BOOK: Please return the missing book entitled “The Dunderheads”, if it is in your possession.
HELP NEEDED: Mr. Hopman is in need of a parent volunteer with the tools and time available to alter sports
equipment. This project will count toward P.T.L. Partnership hours…to be determined between volunteer and Mr. Hopman.
If interested, please contact Mr. Hopman.
BOX TOPS: Thank you to everyone who has donated thus far to the Box Tops Program. We have raised almost $300. Get
ready for a contest starting after Christmas break. So keep on clipping! More information will be forthcoming in newsletters.
HEARTWARMERS meet on Mondays (when school is in session) ~ for those with signed permission slips. As
you are putting away your Christmas items, think of us ~ if you are getting rid of things. Garland, small trees (not
larger than 15”), Christmas stuffed animals, non-breakable ornaments and small items that residents can set out in
their rooms are wonderful donations to receive. Please bring any donations to the school office. Thank you for your support.
