Northern Secondary School Course Selection Sheets 2015-2016 Name: ___________________________________ HF: ______________ Student Number: ___________________________ Phone Number: _____________ Parent Signature: ___________________________ Date: _____________ For students not returning to Northern next year, please check off the box below and indicate your destination for September 2015. ANOTRT Destination: ___________________________________________ INSTRUCTIONS FOR SELECTING 2015-2016 COURSES: ♦ Students should put a check mark in the box next to each course they intend to take next year, and list two alternative choices in the spaces provided on the back page. In the event of a timetabling conflict, the guidance counsellor will select one of these courses for your timetable. ♦ Students go on-line to www.myBlueprint.ca/tdsb/ and select their courses using this course selection sheet as a guide. Include two (2) alternate choices. ♦ Print out the myBlueprint selection sheet. ♦ Parents sign BOTH the myBlueprint selection sheet AND the Northern Secondary School course selection sheet. ♦ Return BOTH to your homeform on Friday, February 20th, 2015. After 9:00 a.m., you will no longer be able to activate course selection on myBlueprint. ♦ Students are strongly encouraged to discuss the 2015/2016 course selection process with their parents and seek input from Guidance counsellors and current teachers. ♦ For course descriptors, prerequisites and/or recommended courses, students and parents should go to http://www.tdsb.on.ca/HighSchool/Guidance/Choices.aspx, click on Course Charts, enter the school year and click on the subject. ♦ The Course Selection Sheets which follow are organized by grade. However, please note that some courses are available to students in other grades. ♦ Please note that access to “boxed” courses offered by the Gifted, Special Education, and Deaf & Hard of Hearing departments is limited to students presently assigned to these programs. Please note: Once classes begin in September, timetable changes are only permitted for: 1. Students who have completed a remedial course and therefore require a timetable change. 2. Students who have successfully completed a full-credit Summer School course and want to drop a course. Please select courses wisely in consultation with current subject teachers. A reminder to all students that 40 Volunteer Hours and completion of OSSLT are required to graduate.
