History and Products
The history of Industrio goes back to the year 1896 when
SMI - a wire drawing plant in Nuremberg - started
producing aluminum wire and aluminum products.
Only 15 years later a brand-new industry started in
Germany. Dornier designed the first aero planes which
were made out of metal structures. This was when SMI
started producing fasteners for these aircraft. From the
beginning in the year 1913 until today the ancestors of
Industrio have been partners of the international
aeronautic industry.

Today Industrio has developed into a worldwide
partner of this industry.
Industrio products range from standard hardware to
specialized made-to-print customer designed
hardware.
Industrio works with international partners and
warehouses in Europe, USA and Asia.

Inserts for cabin structures
Safely assembling and combining light-weight structures requires
reliable metallic inserts.
Industrio offers threaded and non-threaded inserts for many aircraft
applications.
These inserts are used for honeycomb and sandwich structures as
well as for aircraft galleys and other cabin equipment.
