MEDIA INFORMATION
TO THE MEDIA: Welcome to the 30th season of Kings basketball in Sacramento. The Kings media relations department
will do everything possible to assist in your coverage of the club during the 2014-15 NBA season. If we can ever be of
assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us. In an effort to continue to provide a professional working environment,
we have established the following media guidelines.
CREDENTIALS: Single-game press credentials can be reserved by accredited media members via e-mail ([email protected]) until 48 hours prior to the requested game (no exceptions). Media members covering the Kings
on a regular basis will be issued season credentials, but are still required to reserve seating for all games via email at
[email protected] to the media relations office by the above mentioned deadline. Credentials will allow working
media members entry into Sleep Train Arena, while also providing reserved press seating, and access to both team
locker rooms and the media press room. In all cases, credentials are non-transferable and any unauthorized use will
subject the bearer to ejection from Sleep Train Arena and forfeiture of the credential. All single-game credentials
may be picked-up two hours in advance of tip-off at the media check-in table, located at the Southeast security
entrance of Sleep Train Arena.
PRESS ROOM: The Kings press room is located on the Southeast side of Sleep Train Arena on the operations level and
will be opened two hours prior to game time. Admittance/space is limited to working media members with credentials
only. The press room will remain open throughout the game and until the last working media member has finished
his/her gamenight duties. The professional intent of the press room is to provide a meeting and working place for
writers, reporters, broadcasters, and game personnel. Family members and guests will not be admitted in the
press room. Any abuse of the press room and/or press privileges will result in forfeiture of your pass. Television
monitors, internet service, and work space will be provided in the press room.
LOCKER ROOMS: The Kings locker room is located on the East side of the Arena on the operations level. The visitors
locker room is located on the West side of the Arena on the operations level. In accordance with NBA policy, both
locker rooms will be open for 30 minutes, ending 45 minutes before the game (i.e. 5:45 - 6:15 p.m. for a 7:00 game).
Additionally, the locker room will be open 15 minutes after the game for access to players. Only those individuals with
prominently displayed credentials will gain admittance into the locker rooms. Your cooperation and courtesy is asked
in maintaining a proper working atmosphere for postgame interviews.
INTERVIEWS: As stated above, pregame interviews are allowed until 45 minutes prior to game time. Postgame interviews
are conducted as follows: Both the Kings Head Coach (in front of Kings locker room) and visiting team coach (at opposing
locker room entrance) will address media members approximately 10 minutes after the game, while the players will be
made available in their respective locker rooms. Your cooperation and professional courtesy is asked in maintaining a
proper working atmosphere for postgame interviews.
TELEVISION/RADIO: Television broadcast positions are located along the scorers’ table on the North sideline. Radio
broadcast positions are located in Box 213. The Kings’ media relations department will arrange statisticians for all radio
and television broadcasters. If statisticians are needed, please contact the media relations department at least 72 hours
prior to game time. Once arrangements are made for statisticians, the individual must be paid whether or not they are
used. The media relations department will also arrange pregame, halftime, and postgame interviews according to NBA
guidelines. Please make arrangements for those interviews as early as possible.
MEDIA SEATING: Reserved media seating has been designated on the scorers’ table and in Media Box 221. All seats are
reserved and marked with place cards for each individual media member. Seating charts are posted at the media check-in
desk and in the press room. Individuals are asked to sit in their pre-assigned seats. Electrical outlets are placed on press
row for your convenience. Statistics and out of town scores will be distributed throughout the game.
PHOTOGRAPHERS: Limited designated spaces are available on each baseline for both still photographers and television
camera persons. All photographers are required to pick up photo passes upon arrival at the media check-in desk before
entering Sleep Train Arena. Photographers without photo passes will not be allowed on the arena floor.
MEDIA PARKING: Media members are asked to enter the arena parking area via Toll Plaza 9 and park in Lot K.
SERVICES: A pregame media meal with beverages will be served in the press room. Game notes will be available in the
press room before the start of the game. In addition, play-by-play sheets, halftime-quarter boxscores, and postgame
quotes and notes will be available in the press room following the game. Box scores and play-by-play sheets will be
delivered in a prompt manner to press row at the end of each quarter. If there is anything else that we can do to assist
your coverage of the Kings this NBA season, please do not hesitate to ask.

VIVEK RANADIVÉ
Kings Owner
Vivek Ranadivé often recalls the time he “foolishly” agreed to coach his daughter’s middle-school basketball team. Having never even touched a basketball,
his first impulse was to say no. But he didn’t want to let his daughter down, so
he said yes, quickly learned the intricacies of the game and how to use them to
his advantage, and coached her team to the finals of the state championship.
His team might have been smaller and less athletic than the other teams, but he
taught them to play harder than anyone else on the court and to never, ever give
up. That analogy sums up Vivek Ranadivé.
Ranadivé is the owner of the Sacramento Kings, which he bought in 2013,
securing the team’s future in Sacramento. In his rookie season with the Kings, he
has brought on a fresh and hungry basketball operations staff that whole-heartedly
believes in his core principles of how to build a championship-level team. Ranadivé has described himself as
an “irritant” in the same way that a grain of sand irritates the inside of an oyster to make a unique and beautiful
pearl. Ranadivé has promised Kings Fans that he will “irritate” his way to a winning team, challenging them
every step of the way to become even more valuable. He was previously the co-owner and vice chairman of the
Golden State Warriors. Ranadivé’s dream of taking basketball to his home country of India is well under way.
Ranadivé is an entrepreneur, technology visionary, author, and philanthropist recognized for his outsidethe-box thinking. He has led the advancement and use of real-time technology in business operations and
decision-making, earning him the nickname “Mr. Real Time” in technology circles. Ranadivé is dedicated to
the vision that if you get the right information to the right place at the right time and put it in the right context,
you can make the world a better place.
In 1986, Ranadivé founded Teknekron Software Systems, which focused on creating the stock-trading floor
of the future. Teknekron went on to automate Wall Street, and its technology became the engine for most of the
world’s capital markets. In 1997, he founded his present company, TIBCO Software Inc., with the mission of
bringing real-time computing into the mainstream. Today TIBCO technology helps more than 4,000 customers
thrive by powering everything from the web to airlines, utilities, communications providers, manufacturers,

Dr. Paul E. Jacobs is vice chairman and co-owner of the Sacramento Kings.
He is also the executive chairman of Qualcomm Incorporated, where he is responsible for helping guide the development of new technologies and Qualcomm’s
long-term opportunities.
A leader in the field of mobile communications for more than 25 years and
a key architect of Qualcomm’s strategic vision, Dr. Jacobs spearheaded Qualcomm’s efforts to develop and commercialize mobile technology breakthroughs
that have significantly contributed to the growth of both the Company and the
industry. Important developments which began under Dr. Jacobs include: the first
smartphone based on Palm OS®; inclusion of GPS capabilities in mobile phones
(which led to the acquisition of SnapTrack™ and Qualcomm’s development of
gpsOne™ position-location technology); the BREW® system, which enables
over-the-air downloading of applications; QChat, a Voice over IP, push-to-talk
system; mirasol®, a novel reflective display technology; and the Toq Smartwatch.
Following the completion of his Ph.D. in 1989 and a year as a post-doctoral researcher at a French government lab in Toulouse, Dr. Jacobs joined the Company fulltime in 1990 as a development engineer leading the
mobile phone digital signal processor software team. Five years later, Dr. Jacobs became vice president and
general manager of the combined handset and integrated circuit division, which was subsequently divided
into Qualcomm Consumer Products and QCT, respectively. Dr. Jacobs served as CEO from July 2005 to March
2014 and was appointed chairman in 2009.
As an innovative leader of a broad range of technical teams within Qualcomm, Dr. Jacobs has been granted
more than 50 patents for his inventions in the areas of wireless technology and devices. Dr. Jacobs is chairman of the U.S.-Korea Business Council and of the Advisory Board of the University of California, Berkeley,
College of Engineering; vice chairman and co-owner of the NBA Sacramento Kings; Global eHealth Foundation
Ambassador; a member of the International Business Council of the World Economic Forum; a member of the
US-India CEO Forum; and serves on the Board of Directors for FIRST®.
Dr. Jacobs received his bachelor’s (1984) and master’s (1986) degrees, as well as his doctorate (1989) in
electrical engineering, from the University of California, Berkeley.
RAJ S. BHATHAL
Raj Bhathal is vice chairman and co-owner of the Sacramento Kings. Bhathal
has lived the American Dream. And, that dream is continuing as part of the
“dream team” that secured the Sacramento Kings future in that city. In 2013,
the Bhathal family invested in the Sacramento Kings Basketball Holdings LLC
(SBH) and its affiliated entities.
Bhathal is the founder of RAJ Manufacturing, a swimwear firm that grew to
become the industry’s leading house of fashion. Bhathal owned and operated the
business with his wife, Marta, from its founding in 1967 until their retirement in
2006. Currently, their children, Alex Bhathal and Lisa Vogel, run the company.
RAJ designs, markets, and manufactures swimwear and activewear products
under a variety of owned and licensed global fashion brands including Nautica,
Hurley, Splendid, Reef and Athena. The company has global operations and
most of its 400 employees are based at its headquarters in Orange County, Calif.
Additionally, Bhathal has been an active property developer since the 1970s with commercial and residential
properties in Southern California, Arizona and Nevada. In 1990, he was a founding owner of the World League
of American Football (an international league formed by the NFL). Bhathal was awarded the first franchise,
the Orlando Thunder, by the NFL.
The Bhathals are strong believers in giving back to the community, especially in the areas of education and
the arts. Bhathal is a Trustee at Chapman University and the Chairman of its Athletic Committee. He is a Board
Member at the Tiger Woods Learning Center and on the Advisory Board of the Orange County High School of
the Arts. Previously, he served on the Board of Gerontology at the University of Southern California and was
a founding member of the Orange County Performing Arts Center.
Bhathal emigrated from India to the United States in 1962 for university studies, earning his MBA from
the University of Arizona.
Bhathal and his wife, Marta are golf enthusiasts and enjoy spending time with their family and friends,
especially their two grandsons Vaughn and Charlie.

CHRIS MULLIN
Advisor to the Owner
Chris Mullin begins his second season as advisor to the owner and chairman
after being named to the position in September 2013. Mullin will assume a variety
of basketball operations responsibilities, advising Vivek Ranadivé and General
Manager Pete D’Alessandro regarding player transactions and apprising front
office and coaching personnel of the team’s collegiate and professional scouting
efforts. Mullin is reunited with D’Alessandro, who he hired in 2004 while with
the Golden State Warriors.
A member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame (class of 2011),
Mullin averaged 18.2 ppg (.509 FG%, .384 3pt %, .865 FT%), 4.1 rpg, 3.5 apg,
1.60 spg and 32.6 mpg in 986 career games with the Golden State Warriors
(1985-86 – 1996-97 and 2000-01) and Indiana Pacers (1997-98 – 1999-00).
The Warriors retired his No. 17 jersey in March 2012, and he was inducted into
the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame in 2005. He still holds several Warriors franchise records including games
played (807) and steals (1,360), and is fourth on the club’s career scoring list. Mullin played 13 of his 16 NBA
seasons in Golden State, including the first 12 years of his career.
He was named an NBA All-Star five times and notched All-NBA First Team honors after posting 25.6 ppg
(.524 FG%, .366 3pt%, .833 FT%), 5.6 rpg, 3.6 apg and career-highs of 2.10 spg and 41.3 mpg in 1991-92.
Later that same year, Mullin would win his second of two Olympic Gold Medals as a member of the “Dream
Team,” finishing third on the roster in scoring (14.3 ppg) behind Charles Barkley and Karl Malone. Mullin is
one of just 13 players in history to win a pair of gold medals in Olympic basketball competition.
Prior to being selected seventh overall in the 1985 NBA Draft out of St. Johns, Mullin earned every AllAmerican accolade in existence as a collegian, including an Olympic gold medal for Team USA at the 1984 Games
in Los Angeles. He concluded his career for St, John’s by winning the 1985 John Wooden Award bestowed upon
the nation’s most outstanding college player. In 2011, Mullin was elected to the National Collegiate Hall of Fame.
Mullin remained close to the game following his retirement as an NBA player after the 2000-01 season,
serving as a special assistant in the Warriors front office before being named Executive Vice President of
Basketball Operations in 2004. He would hold the title for five seasons, including one of the most memorable
in franchise history as Golden State became only the third eighth-seeded team in league annals to upset a top
seed when it defeated the Dallas Mavericks in the First Round of the 2007 NBA Playoffs.
After the 2008-09 season, Mullin went on to become an analyst for ESPN.
Mullin and his wife, Liz, live in Danville with their four children, Sean, Christopher, Liam and Kiera.
CHRIS GRANGER
President
A 14-year veteran of the NBA, Chris Granger is currently serving his second
season as president of the Sacramento Kings and Sacramento Basketball Holdings, LLC. Granger is responsible for overseeing and executing all Kings business
operations and spearheading the development of the downtown Entertainment
and Sports Center (ESC).
Along with Sacramento Kings Majority Owner Vivek Ranadivé, Granger has
led the Kings in implementing “NBA 3.0,” a forward-thinking business philosophy
driven by technology, globalization, and basketball as a positive agent of change.
The entire Kings organization is committed to utilizing NBA 3.0 – both on and off
the court – to make the Kings the premier sports franchise of the 21st century.
Prior to joining the Kings, Granger worked in various capacities for the NBA
from 1999-2013. He most recently served as the executive vice president of the NBA’s renowned Team Marketing and Business Operations (TMBO) function, where he advised NBA, WNBA and NBA Development League
teams on all aspects of business operations including ticket and sponsorship sales, marketing, community
relations, communications, and digital media. Under Granger’s leadership at TMBO, teams across all three
leagues set numerous and consistent records for game attendance, gate receipts, and sponsorship revenue.
Granger has worked with the Kings in various capacities since 2004, most recently leading the TMBO function
in Sacramento to support the “re-launch” of the team after the threat of relocation.
Prior to joining the NBA, Granger held leadership positions with the Walt Disney World Company, working
primarily on the resort side of the business.
Granger received his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and his M.B.A. from Yale. As an undergraduate, he also studied abroad at the prestigious London School of Economics & Political Science. An
Indiana native, Chris now lives in the Wilhaggin area of Sacramento with his wife Jennifer and daughters,
Zoe and Megan.

PETE D'ALESSANDRO
General Manager
Pete D’Alessandro enters his second season as general manager of the
Sacramento Kings after being named to the position on June 17, 2013.
D’Alessandro quickly began to work on improving the Kings’ roster as several
moves were made, highlighted by signing center DeMarcus Cousins to a contract
extension, a seven-player trade with Toronto that brought forward Rudy Gay
to the Kings midseason, and the selection of guards Ben McLemore and Ray
McCallum in the 2013 NBA Draft. Continuing to improve the team, D’Alessandro
turned over the roster as 25 different players graced the 2013-14 roster and 23
of those saw at least a minute of playing time. At the end of the regular season,
D’Alessandro drafted guard Nik Stauskas with the eighth pick in the 2014 NBA
Draft and signed free agent guard Darren Collison.
Utilizing an innovative initiative, D’Alessandro led the Kings to become the first professional sports team
to crowdsource a draft in May 2014. Called “Draft 3.0 Challenge,” the initiative challenged fans to provide
analytical insight into determining the Kings’ eighth selection in the 2014 NBA Draft.
D’Alessandro oversees all aspects of the Kings’ basketball operations department, including the coaching
and scouting staffs, team negotiations and player acquisitions. He also serves as the main basketball liaison
between the Kings, the NBA, and the league’s 29 other teams.
Prior to joining the Kings, D’Alessandro spent the last three seasons with the Denver Nuggets, helping
develop the Nuggets into one of the NBA’s elite teams by assisting in the development of all basketball operations strategies as well as the management of day-to-day basketball activities. Promoted to the Nuggets’
vice president of basketball operations prior to the 2012-13 season, D’Alessandro focused on trade and free
agent negotiations, salary cap management and collective bargaining agreement rules and regulations. As
a result of his efforts, the Nuggets posted their best record in franchise history last season (57-25), as well
as the most home wins (38).
Widely considered one of the rising young minds in basketball, D’Alessandro initially worked for the Golden
State Warriors from 2004-2008 as director of basketball operations, and was later promoted to assistant
general manager shortly after the 2006-07 season.
D’Alessandro began his career in basketball from 1986-90 when, as a student at St. John’s University,
he served as video coordinator for the men’s basketball team under Hall of Fame coach Lou Carnesecca. He
graduated from Nova Southeastern University School of Law in May of 1994 and was admitted to the New
York State Bar in 1995. From 1994-96, he briefly entered the political arena, ultimately serving as the campaign
manager for New York State Congressman Rick Lazio’s successful re-election to the House of Representatives.
After his stint in politics, D’Alessandro returned to the sports world in 1997, working for a sports agency
based in Washington, D.C. For seven years, he represented both NBA and International basketball players
before being hired in 2004 by then Warriors Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations and current
Kings Advisor to the Chairman Chris Mullin.
D’Alessandro and his wife, Leah, have a daughter, Kate, and a son, Ben.
MIKE BRATZ
Assistant General Manager
Mike Bratz begins his second season as the Kings assistant general manager
after being hired on June 21, 2013.
Prior to joining the Kings front office, Bratz was the Denver Nuggets director
of player personnel. Bratz was in Denver for five seasons, three of which were
spent working alongside current Kings General Manager Pete D’Alessandro.
A native of Lompoc, California native, Bratz has connections to Sacramento
both as a player and assistant coach. He played for the Kings during the team’s
inaugural season in the River City and served as an assistant coach for seven
seasons (1991-92, 1993-94 – 1997-98). Bratz’ tenure also included work as a
scout and radio analyst.
After departing Sacramento, Bratz served as a scout for the Utah Jazz in
1998-99 before becoming an assistant coach in Washington the following season. In 2000-01, Bratz joined
the Cleveland Cavaliers as a collegiate and minor-league (CBA) scout, later joining the bench as an assistant
coach in 2002-03 and 2005. Additionally, Bratz served as the team’s director of player personnel before being
promoted in August 2004 to director of basketball operations. He spent the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons
as a consultant for NBA teams, including the Milwaukee Bucks and L.A. Clippers.
Selected by the Phoenix Suns in the third round (66th overall) of the 1977 NBA Draft, Bratz played for six
teams – Phoenix, Cleveland, San Antonio, Chicago, Golden State, and Sacramento over nine NBA seasons
(1977-78 – 1985-86). In 586 career games, he averaged 7.0 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game.
He led the NBA in three-pointers made (57) in 1980-81.
An academic All-American and member of the Stanford Hall of Fame, Bratz earned All-Pacific Eight
Conference honors following his senior season for the Cardinal.
Bratz and his wife, Marsha, have a son, Jesse.

MITCH RICHMOND
Special Assistant to the General Manager
Mitch Richmond begins his first season as the special assistant to the General Manager and his second with the Kings’ front office. Last season, Richmond served as a scout.
Inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame on August 8, 2014, Richmond
became the first player in Sacramento-era history to have his jersey retired (December
5, 2003). He ranks among the top five in franchise history in points, field goals made
and attempted, free throws made and attempted, free throw percentage, steals, threepointers made and attempted, and three-point field goal percentage. Richmond became
the first Sacramento King to be named to the All-Star Game, and earned the All-Star MVP
award in 1995. Also while with Sacramento, Richmond represented the United States
in the 1996 Olympics, winning a gold medal. Richmond played 14 seasons with four NBA teams - Golden
State (1988-89 - 1990-91), Sacramento (1991-92 - 1997-98), Washington (1998-99 - 2000-01) and L.A.
Lakers (2001-02). He is a six-time NBA All-Star (1993-1998), an NBA All-Star MVP (1995), a three-time AllNBA Second Team selection (1994, 1995, 1997), a two-time All-NBA Third Team member, an NBA champion
(2002) and the 1989 NBA Rookie of the Year.
DEAN OLIVER
Director of Analytics/Player Personnel
Hired in October 2014, Dean Oliver begins his first season as the Kings director of
analytics/player personnel.
Oliver is known broadly as a pioneer in the analytics that help govern many basketball
teams, from the NBA down to high school. His book, Basketball on Paper, was written
at the same time as Moneyball and helped him to enter the NBA in 2004, working for
the Seattle Supersonics. He soon joined the Denver Nuggets as Director of Quantitative
Analysis and was part of several very successful teams and the Nuggets VP won Executive of the Year once during his tenure. Oliver went to ESPN during the NBA lockout of
the 2011 season, where he headed up the construction of their sports analytics group,
working on both basketball and football with talent, producers, technology, and executives at the company.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering at Caltech while playing on the basketball team. Oliver did
his Ph.D. in environmental engineering at North Carolina and Stanford while serving as an advance scout
in college basketball.
Oliver’s work has been published in numerous places, and is in regular use on television and radio. He
is often asked to give talks to business and educational groups. His book has been lauded by legendary
basketball coach, Dean Smith, and by sabermetrics pioneer, Bill James.
CHRIS GILBERT
Sacramento Kings, Scouting Coordinator
Reno Bighorns, Assistant General Manager
Chris Gilbert enters his second season with the Sacramento Kings and first as
the team’s Scouting Coordinator after previously serving as Coordinator, Basketball
Operations in 2013-14.
In his current role, Gilbert will oversee all aspects of the team’s scouting department,
including college scouting, scheduling and communication as well as related data management. He will also assist in all aspects of the team’s day-to-day basketball operations.
In addition, Gilbert enters his second season as Assistant General Manager of the
Reno Bighorns, the Kings hybrid-affiliate in the NBA Development League. Gilbert supports in all aspects of
the team’s basketball operations, including player personnel evaluation, scouting and player matters.
Prior to joining the Kings in 2013, Gilbert spent eight years with the Golden State Warriors organization
in a variety of capacities.
A native of Lafayette, California, Gilbert earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management,
Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 2005, where he was a four-year member and
two-year co-captain of the Banana Slugs basketball team.

TYRONE CORBIN
Head Coach
On December 16, 2014, Tyrone Corbin assumed the head coaching duties.
A former Kings player who had two stints with Sacramento during the 1995-96
and 1999-00 seasons, Corbin joined the Kings coaching staff as an assistant
coach on July 13, 2014.
Before returning to Sacramento as an assistant coach, Corbin spent a decade
as a member of the Utah Jazz’s coaching staff. On Feb. 10, 2011, Corbin took
the helm of the Jazz after Hall of Fame coach Jerry Sloan stepped down as
head coach. Corbin became just the seventh head coach in the Jazz’s history
and compiled a 112-146 coaching record in three and half seasons with the
Jazz (2010-11 – 2013-14) and a playoff appearance in 2012.
With over 30 years of NBA experience as a coach and player, Corbin worked as an assistant under Sloan
for seven seasons and played for him another three. Corbin also played for former Kings head coaches
Rick Adelman and Cotton Fitzsimmons, Pat Riley and Lenny Wilkens during his 16-year NBA playing career
(1985-86 – 2000-01). Selected by the Spurs in the second round (35th overall) of the 1985 NBA Draft,
Corbin played for nine NBA franchsies - San Antonio (1985-86 - 1986-87), Cleveland (1986-87 - 1987-88),
Phoenix (1987-88 - 1988-89), Minnesota (1989-90 - 1991-92), Utah (1991-92 - 1993-94), Atlanta (1994-95
and 1996-97 - 1998-99), Sacramento (1995-96 and 1999-00), Miami (1995-96) and Toronto (2000-01).
With the Kings, Corbin averaged 5.2 ppg (.405 FG%, .840 FT%), 3.3 rpg, 1.2 apg, 18.2 mpg in 103 games.
Originally drafted by San Antonio in the second round (35th pick overall) of the 1985 NBA Draft, Corbin
averaged 9.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 26.2 minutes per game while connecting on 45.7 percent of his shots
in his career.
Corbin averaged 11.5 points in four years at DePaul University, including 15.8 points in his senior season.
He played in 120 games for the Blue Demons, increasing his scoring average and field goal and free throw
percentage in each of his four seasons. He finished seventh on DePaul’s career scoring list and was a twotime honorable mention AP All-American selection, as well as an All-NIT choice in 1983, and was invited to
the 1984 Olympic Trials. He also holds the distinction of being team captain for legendary coach Ray Meyer’s
final team at DePaul in 1984-85.

CORLISS WILLIAMSON
Assistant Coach
Corliss Williamson begins his second season as an assistant coach for the Kings
and his second as an NBA assistant after being hired on August 2, 2013.
Williamson, a 12-year NBA veteran, joins the Kings coaching staff after spending the
last three seasons as the men’s basketball coach at the University of Central Arkansas.
His coaching career includes three years at Arkansas Baptist College, two as an assistant
before serving as head coach during the 2009-10 season.
Known as “Big Nasty,” Williamson played two stints with the Kings (1995-96 –
1999-00 and 2004-05 – 2006-07), averaging 10.8 points (.492 FG%, .683 FT%), 3.8
rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 22.9 minutes per game in 466 career contests in Sacramento.
Renowned by teammates, coaches and fans for his gritty style of play, leadership abilities and consummate
professionalism, Williamson also remains among the team’s most charitable players in franchise history and
the only two-time recipient of the annual Oscar Robertson Triple Double Award bestowed on the Kings player
who best exemplifies excellence on and off the court.
Considered one of the greatest players in Arkansas state history, he enjoyed a storied collegiate career at
the University of Arkansas, helping guide the Razorbacks to three straight NCAA Tournament appearances,
including a trip to the Sweet 16 in 1993 and an NCAA Championship a year later—earning Most Outstanding
Player of the Tournament honors after leading the school to a 76-72 win over Duke. His stellar play again
fueled the Razorbacks to a repeat appearance in the NCAA final in 1995. The following June, Sacramento
tabbed Williamson with the 13th overall pick in the 1995 NBA Draft.
After playing his first five NBA seasons in Sacramento, Williamson was traded by the Kings to the Toronto
Raptors in exchange for Doug Christie on Sept. 29, 2000. He spent half the season with the Raptors before
being dealt to Detroit, where he would ultimately earn a Sixth Man of the Year award (2001-02) and an NBA
championship (2004). En route to helping lead the Pistons to the 2004 NBA title, Williamson joined an elite
list of players to win both an NCAA title and NBA championship.
Williamson would eventually play two more seasons in a second tenure with the Kings after being traded
to Sacramento in 2005. He retired in September of 2007 among the all-time leaders in Sacramento era annals,
ranking fourth in games played (466), seventh in field goals made (1,995), eighth in field goals attempted
(4,057), ninth in free throws attempted (1,513), and 10th in points (5,026) and minutes (10,671).
MICAH NORI
Assistant Coach
Micah Nori begins his second season as an assistant coach for the Kings after being
hired on July 9, 2013.
Nori joins the Kings after 17 seasons with the Toronto Raptors organization, serving the last four as an assistant coach. In addition to his duties on the bench, Nori was
responsible for overseeing all advance opponent scouting operations. He was promoted
to assistant coach in July 2009.
In his previous roles as director of NBA scouting and advance scout, Nori managed all
upcoming opponent preparation for both the coaching staff and players. He also served
as an assistant to the Raptors coaching staff from 1998-2000 following a successful
collegiate baseball career at Indiana University.
As a Hoosier, Nori was a four-year starter and captain of the 1996 Big Ten Championship team. He finished
his career with a .305 batting average and 127 RBIs, ranking in the top-20 in IU annals in several offensive
categories. He went on to receive a Master’s Degree in Sports Organization from Miami (OH) University.
He and his wife, Melissa, have a son, Danté, and a daughter, Mia.

DEE BROWN
Assistant Coach/Director of Player Development
Dee Brown begins his second season as the Kings’ assistant coach and director of
player development after being hired on July 9, 2013.
Prior to joining the Kings, Brown spent the previous two seasons as an assistant coach
for the Detroit Pistons after serving as Head Coach and Director of Basketball Operations for the Springfield Armor of the NBA Development League (2009-10 – 2010-11).
Following a stellar collegiate career at Jacksonville University, Brown was selected by
Boston with the 19th overall pick in the 1990 NBA Draft, earning All-Rookie First Team
honors after averaging 8.7 points and 4.2 assists per game to help the Celtics win the
Atlantic Division. He also won the 1991 NBA Slam Dunk contest and went on to average
12.2 points per contest during the postseason.
In his 12-year NBA career Brown played for three teams - Boston, Toronto and Orlando - and averaged
11.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists per contest in 609 games. As a member of the Raptors, he led the
NBA with 135 three-pointers made in 1998-99.
Brown turned his attention to the sidelines after retiring as a player, coaching the WNBA’s Orlando Miracle
in 2002 and San Antonio Silver Stars in 2004. Between head coaching stops, Brown served as Director of
Player Development for the Magic in 2005.
Additionally, Brown is the President and CEO of EDGE Basketball, LLC., one of the country's premier
basketball training facilities, which has trained NBA players such as Grant Hill, Drew Gooden and Chucky
Atkins. He was the winner of ESPN’s “Dream Job” and became an analyst for a number of the network’s
basketball shows.
He and his wife, Tammy, have a son, Anakin, and three daughters, Alexis, Alyssa and Alanni.
RYAN BOWEN
Assistant Coach/Assistant Director of Player Development
Ryan Bowen begins second season as the Kings assistant coach/assistant director
of player development after being hired on August 21, 2013.
Bowen joins the Kings after serving the previous two seasons as an assistant coach
for the Denver Nuggets. In his role with Sacramento, he supports Assistant Coach/
Director of Player Development Dee Brown in all areas of on-court player development.
A 10-year NBA veteran, he appeared in 507 career games with the Nuggets (19992000 – 2003-04), Houston Rockets (2004-05 – 2005-06), New Orleans Hornets (200708 and 2008-09) and Oklahoma City Thunder (2009-10). His professional experience
includes time playing overseas for Oyak Renault (Turkey) and Ironi Nahariya (Israel).
Bowen was selected by the Nuggets in the second round (55th overall) of the 1998 NBA Draft.
As a collegian, Bowen enjoyed a four-year career at the University of Iowa, posting 14.4 points, 8.7
rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest during his senior year in 1997-98. He finished his career at Iowa as the
school’s career field goal percentage leader (.575) and career steals leader (208) and ranks fourth in blocks
(124) and eighth in rebounds (804). A two-time All-Big Ten selection, Bowen was inducted into the Iowa
Boys Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012.
Following retirement from professional basketball in 2009, Bowen returned to his alma mater as video
coordinator for the Hawkeyes, working in that capacity for one season before departing Iowa City for a spot
on Denver’s bench serving under then Head Coach George Karl.
Bowen and his wife, Wendy, have a daughter, Isabel, and two sons, Benjamin and Zachary.

ROBERT "CHIP" SCHAEFER
Director of Sports Science
Robert "Chip" Schaefer begins his second season with the Kings and his first as the
team’s director of sports science. He was the Kings’ director of athletic performance
during the 2013-14 season. Schaefer, who was a part of 11 NBA championship teams
(6 in Chicago and 5 in Los Angeles), served as UC Santa Barbara's assistant athletics
director for sports performance from December 2011 to September 2013.
Before UC Santa Barbara, Schaefer spent 12 years (1999-00 - 2010-11) with the Los
Angeles Lakers, the last seven as director of athletic performance/player development,
where he was responsible for players' strength and conditioning. Schaefer also oversaw
the transition of young players into the NBA lifestyle and their professional development.
Prior to joining the Lakers for the 1999-2000 season, Schaefer spent eight years as the head athletic trainer
of the Chicago Bulls (1990-91 - 1997-98) where he was part of six NBA championship teams.
Before entering the NBA full-time, Schaefer was the head athletic trainer and strength coach at Loyola
Marymount from 1987-90 and was on the staff of the renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles
where he worked with some of the nation's elite professional and amateur athletes. In addition, he served as
the head athletic trainer at Pete Newell's Big Man Campus and the California Summer Pro Basketball League.
A native of Deerfield, Illinois, Schaefer received his BS in physical education and sports medicine from the
University of Utah in 1983. In 1990, he earned his master's degree in counseling from Loyola Marymount.
Upon his graduation from Utah, he worked as the head athletic trainer for the U.S. Men's Ski Team from
1984-86. Schaefer is currently pursuing a doctorate in health care administration.
Schaefer and his wife, Andra, have one son (Alec) and one daughter (Emily).
PETE YOUNGMAN
Director of Sports Medicine
Pete Youngman is in his third season as the Kings director of sports medicine after
serving as team's athletic trainer the previous 15 seasons. The Rochester, New York
native spent three seasons as the club's assistant to former Head Trainer Bill Jones
before accepting the head post in June of 1996.
In addition to being responsible for every aspect of the Kings training room operations,
Youngman works closely with the team's professional medical staff in the monitoring
of a player's physical condition as well as the diagnosing and treatment of injuries. He
also is responsible for coordinating all team charter flights and ground transportation.
Youngman joined the Kings after spending the previous nine years with the Boston
Red Sox professional baseball organization at all levels of their minor league system.
Youngman graduated from Ithaca College in 1986 and recently earned a master's degree from California
University of PA in rehabilitation science. He is certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association, a certified performance enhancement specialist as well as a corrective exercise specialist by the National Academy
of Sports medicine.
He enjoys running in his spare time and has completed 20 marathons.
MANNY ROMERO
Head Athletic Trainer
Manny Romero begins his fourth season as the head athletic trainer and his 12th
overall with the team. He served as the Kings assistant athletic trainer/performance
enhancement specialist the previous five seasons.
His main responsibility is to assist Director of Sports Medicine Pete Youngman
in all areas, including injury management, injury prevention, injury rehabilitation and
emergency procedures on the court as well as serving as liaison between the doctors,
team and players.
Prior to joining the Kings, Romero worked seven seasons as a part of the Los Angeles
Lakers training staff, culminating in two NBA Championships in 2000 and 2001. During the
summer of 2002, he also served as the Athletic Trainer for the World Championship Yugoslavian national team.
Romero earned a bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University and a master's degree from the
California University of Pennsylvania in exercise science and health promotion. He is a Certified Athletic Trainer
from the National Athletic Trainers Association and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the
National Strength and Condition Association. He is also a certified performance enhancement specialist (PES)
and a certified exercise specialist (CES) from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and has
mentored under Alex McKechnie, a world-renown physiotherapist from Vancouver, British Columbia, known
for his philosophies in core stability. Currently he is working on his PhD in Athletic Training with a research
interest in injury prevention and evidence based practice. He is also a peer reviewer for the IJAHP (Internet
Journal of Allied Health Science and Practice).
Romero, his wife Vanessa, sons Diego and Mateo and daughter Mia Isabella reside in Roseville.

HAKEEM SYLVER
Director, Team Security & Player Development
Hakeem Sylver begins his 10th season with the Kings and second as director of
team security. The previous eight seasons Sylver served as the team's manager of player
services. Sylver is responsible for all security dealings for Kings players and staff both
at home and on the road. Sylver has a wide and diverse background from certification
in behavior management to executive protection of professional athletes and high
profile individuals in the entertainment Industry in the United States and abroad. His
main focus has been security management and private security, having worked as Field
Supervisor and Site Security for El Sol Contracting and Genesusone Enterprises and
New York-based construction firms.
ELVIS VALCARCEL
Video Coordinator
Elvis Valcarcel enters his second season with the Kings as video coordinator.
Before joining the Kings, he spent the last four seasons (2009-10 - 2012-13) as
the Phoenix Suns' video coordinator after serving as the assistant video coordinator
during the 2008-09 season. In his first season as the Suns' video coordinator, the team
advanced to the 2010 Western Conference Finals, falling to the eventual NBA Champion
Los Angeles Lakers in six contests. While with the Suns, Valcarcel also was an assistant
coach for the Suns' NBA Summer League squad in 2010 and 2012 and did advance
scouting in 2011 and 2012. Valcarcel was also the video coordinator for the Phoenix
Mercury in 2009 when they won the WNBA title.
Prior to Phoenix, Valcarcel worked two years as an administrative assistant/video coordinator for the
men's basketball program at Seton Hall University.
From Union City, N.J., Valcarcel earned a bachelor of arts degree in criminal justice and sociology from
Rutgers University.
Valcarcel is single and resides in Sacramento.
DWAYNE WILSON
Equipment Manager
Dwayne Wilson enters his fourth season as the Kings equipment manager after
serving in the same capacity for the Milwaukee Bucks for the previous six seasons.
With Milwaukee, Wilson also assisted the team's strength and conditioning coach with
player development.
As equipment manager, Wilson is responsible for ordering and maintaining all nonmedical team equipment and supplies. He makes all road trips and oversees the team's
luggage, laundry, and equipment when the squad is away from Sleep Train Arena. While at
home, his additional duties include supervising ballboys and team locker room attendants.
Wilson was originally hired by the Dallas Mavericks as an assistant strength and
conditioning coach in 1998. He added the title of equipment manager in 1999 and served as both until the
summer of 2004. He then worked with Velocity Sports Performance in Dallas for one year, an organization
that specializes in helping adults attain their fitness goals, as a Sports Conditioning Specialist.
A native of Richland, Wash., Wilson is a 1988 graduate of the University of North Texas where he majored
in Exercise Science.
He enjoys movies, cooking, fishing and trips to Dallas to see his parents and two sisters.

MATINA KOLOKOTRONIS
President, Business Operations
A long-time Sacramento resident and community leader, Matina Kolokotronis
begins her fifth season as president of business operations with the Sacramento Kings,
bringing a strong background in sports and government law, community affairs and
contract negotiations.
The only female in the NBA to hold the title of president of business operations,
Kolokotronis has more than 18 years of experience with the organization. She was named
to her current role in 2010, and oversees all aspects of business operations for the team
including ticket sales, marketing, communications, premium seating, finance, arena
operations, merchandise, corporate partnerships, broadcasting and human resources.
Prior to being named president of business operations, Kolokotronis served as legal consultant for
the Kings business and basketball operations teams, negotiating player and staff contracts. Kolokotronis
served for six years as director of the Sacramento Kings Foundation, overseeing strategic development and
fundraising activities.
Before she became an independent consultant, Kolokotronis was an associate with Miller, Owen and Trost
and practiced contract and sports law. Her clients included the Kings and various NBA players. She was also
previously an associate with Carpenter Snodgrass and Associates and practiced in legislative representation
for businesses, governmental agencies and individuals.
Kolokotronis has taught Sports Law at McGeorge Law School at the University of the Pacific and is active
in the Greek Church. She is a graduate of Loyola University and received her law degree from McGeorge Law
School, University of the Pacific.
JOHN RINEHART
Executive Vice President, Business Operations
John Rinehart enters his 15th season with the Sacramento Kings as Executive Vice
President, Business Operations and Chief Financial Officer. In his role, Rinehart oversees
all Financial Operations of the Kings and Sleep Train Arena, as well as the development of
the Team’s new state of the art downtown arena and all of the organizations real estate
and other business holdings. His responsibilities include strategic planning, contract
negotiation, player contract compliance and analysis (NBA Tax and Escrow system),
financial analysis, financial reporting, budgeting, financing administration, arena
programming and services, legal affairs, insurance and tax requirements. Additionally,
Rinehart is responsible for the company’s retail sales, human resources, information
systems, purchasing, and box office operations.
In the past year Rinehart successfully closed on a new arena construction financing, paving the way for
construction to begin on the new arena with a scheduled opening of fall 2016. Additionally, Rinehart was part
of the team that negotiated a new long term local television deal with Comcast Sports Net.
Prior to joining the Kings, Rinehart spent two years as the Director of Finance for Anaheim Sports, Inc.,
where he oversaw the finance and accounting functions of the Anaheim Angels (MLB), Anaheim Mighty Ducks
(NHL) and Edison International Field of Anaheim. He also spent two seasons as manager of financial reporting
for the San Francisco Giants (MLB). Prior to beginning his career in professional sports, Rinehart spent five
years with the public accounting firm Price Waterhouse Coopers LLP in San Francisco.
Rinehart graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Villanova University in 1991. He and his
two daughters Kaitlyn and Megan reside in the Land Park area of downtown Sacramento.

JEFF DAVID
Chief Revenue Officer
Jeff David has spent nearly two decades within the professional sports business. With
experience from four professional sports leagues, he enters his fourth season with the
Sacramento Kings overseeing the traditional revenue operations of the NBA franchise;
including Ticket Sales/Service, Sponsorship Sales/Service, and Suites Sales/Service.
David came to the Kings from the National Basketball Association, where he was
an executive within the Global Marketing Partnerships group. In this capacity, he was
responsible for new business development on a global scale. Prior to the NBA league
office, David spent four seasons as the Kings vice president of corporate partnerships.
He was responsible for new business growth and directing the business development
team, which included managing the strategic planning and implementation of all corporate partner-related
marketing efforts, business plans, and co-branded promotional activities within the Sacramento marketplace.
Before his stint in professional basketball, David worked at Major League Soccer’s team level overseeing
marketing operations. He served on the league’s marketing committee during the explosion of new soccerspecific stadiums, development of the Jersey Sponsorship initiative, and the “Designated Player” rule, which
paved the way for several world-class soccer stars to play within the US based league.
David came to MLS after a decade marketing lifestyle sports properties including those in the Surf/Skate/
Snow industry and professional beach volleyball. A native of Los Angeles, David received his bachelor’s degree
from Loyola Marymount University and MBA from Pepperdine University.
GARRICK DORN
Vice President, Corporate Partnerships & Suites
Garrick Dorn begins his second season with the Kings as the vice president of corporate partnerships and suites. His duties include oversight of the corporate partnerships
and suites sales and service department.
Dorn spent the previous six years working with CBS Collegiate Sports Properties, with
roles as the West region sales manager and general manager- Sun Devil Sports Marketing. Prior to CBS, Dorn served as national sales director for the Seattle Sonics & Storm.
A graduate of the University of Oregon, Dorn writes and travels in his spare time.
Dorn and his wife, Sarah, have two daughters, Paige (5) and Sydney (3).
KYLE EICHMAN
Vice President, CRM & Analytics
Kyle Eichman begins his seventh season with the Kings and his first as vice president of CRM & analytics. His responsibilities include all functions relating to analytics,
customer research, and customer relationship marketing programs for the Kings and
Sleep Train Arena.
Eichman has over 18 years of experience in positions ranging from finance and
accounting to operations and marketing, working for such companies as Pinnacle
Entertainment, Harrah’s Entertainment, Mirage Resorts and the Venetian Resort Hotel
Casino. He most recently served as corporate director of strategic marketing for Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc.
A graduate of Colorado State University, Eichman and his wife, Monica, have two daughters, Taylor (18)
and Hunter (16).
BEN GUMPERT
Senior Vice President, Marketing & Strategy
Ben Gumpert begins his second season with the Kings and his first as chief marketing officer. His responsibilities include leading the organization’s efforts in marketing,
analytics, communications, digital, community impact, and game operations.
He joined the Kings after five years with the NBA, most recently serving as vice
president of team marketing and business operations. Gumpert worked with all NBA
teams to improve business operations, including ticket sales, sponsorships, marketing,
digital, CR, and finance. Gumpert also led the Team Strategy & Analytics group while
at the NBA with a charge of improving business operations for NBA teams through
data-driven projects.
Prior to the NBA, Gumpert was a consultant with Bain & Company in the LA, New York and San Francisco
offices. Gumpert worked in the Technology, Media, and Telecom practice area, as well as the Private Equity
practice area, focused on due diligence efforts for private equity firms.
A native of Sacramento, Gumpert graduated from UCLA with a degree in Business-Economics and holds
an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. Gumpert and his wife, Marisa, live in Sacramento with
their two daughters, Zoe and Amelia.

PHIL HORN
Vice President, Ticket Sales & Service
Phil Horn begins his fifth season as the vice president of ticket sales and service. His
responsibilities include new and renewal sales, strategy and direction of all premium and
non-premium account and service executives for full season and partial season ticket
packages as well as guidance for group ticket sales, individual ticket sales and the inside
sales account executive training program.
Prior to joining the Kings, Horn was the Portland Trail Blazers’ director of group
ticket sales for four years, handling new and renewal sales of group ticket packages.
The Lincoln City, Oregon, native earned a bachelor’s degree in sports administration
from the University of Redlands. Horn and his wife, Danea, reside in Sacramento with
their two Terrier dogs, Abbey and Emma.
EVERETT JACOBS
Vice President, Business Development
Everett Jacobs begins his first season with the Kings as the vice president of business development. His responsibilities include new sales, strategy, and direction of
marketing partnerships for the Sacramento Kings and Sacramento Basketball Holdings.
Prior to joining the Kings, Jacobs served as vice president of client partnerships
for LeadDog Marketing Group. Jacobs served as head of corporate partnerships for the
America’s Cup Event Authority, where he was responsible for negotiating and selling
sponsorships with premium brands for the 34th America’s Cup in San Francisco. Jacob’s
diverse career also includes event management and sponsorship consulting expertise
with event marketing agencies, other professional sports properties, and some of the
largest sporting events in the world.
A native of Queens, New York before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, Everett graduated from
Sonoma State University with a bachelors of art in sociology and earned an masters in sports management
from the University of San Francisco. Everett currently resides in Orinda, California, with his wife Nicole, son
Jackson, and daughter Gianna.
RANDY KOSS
Senior Vice President, Real Estate Development
Randy Koss begins his first season with the Kings as the senior vice president of
real estate development. Koss will be responsible for real estate asset management,
strategy, development, and finance. While his initial focus is primary on the downtown
mixed-use development adjacent to the new arena, he will lead the effort on all the Kings’
real estate holdings, including the redevelopment of the Natomas arena site once the
Kings relocate in 2016.
Prior to joining the Kings, Koss had worked in all aspects of real estate asset management, development, acquisition, operations, and finance for over 25 years, primarily
with Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds and The Macerich Company.
Koss is a graduate of UCLA in Economics/Business and earned his MBA at UC Berkeley’s Haas School
of Business.
STEPHEN LEOPOLD
Vice President, Ticket Sales
Stephen Leopold begins his fourth season as the vice president of ticket sales. His
responsibilities include working on the planning, development, and coordination of Kings
ticket programs including group packages & theme nights, partial plans, and season
tickets. Working closely with the marketing and operations staff, Leopold and his team
strive to enhance the experience and value provided to all fans attending each game. In
addition to ticket sales strategy and direction, Leopold is also committed to developing
and growing the best ticket sales staff in the NBA.
Prior to joining the Kings, Leopold served six years as the executive vice president
for the American Hockey League’s Albany River Rats.
Leopold graduated from the State University of New York at Cortland with a degree in sports management
and a minor in economics and computer applications. The native of Wallkill, New York, currently resides in
Sacramento.

KUNAL MERCHANT
Vice President, Strategic Initiatives
Kunal Merchant begins his second season as the vice president of strategic initiatives for the Sacramento Kings. In this capacity, Merchant oversees a portfolio of top
strategic, political and community initiatives for the Kings, with a special focus on
advancing progress on the new downtown entertainment and sports complex scheduled
to open in the fall of 2016. Merchant is also managing the Kings’ delegation to the
2014 NBA Global Games series in Beijing and Shanghai, and formulating the team’s
“Greenprint” sustainability agenda.
In his previous role as executive director of Think BIG Sacramento, Merchant served
as Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson’s chief advisor in efforts to develop a $477M
public-private finance plan for a new downtown arena, win NBA approval to keep the Kings in Sacramento,
and facilitate the sale of the franchise to the new ownership group led by Vivek Ranadivé.
As chief of staff to Mayor Johnson, he oversaw the full range of the mayor’s strategic, management, operational, media and external relations activities. During this time, Merchant played a central role in mobilizing
political, corporate and community support for the Kings and new arena. Merchant also served as the mayor’s
primary liaison on all economic development, fiscal, governance, and policy initiatives.
Prior to his time in Sacramento, Merchant worked in management consulting, education, health care,
and economic development. Kunal graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with an A.B. in
Economics, and earned his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
SCOTT MOAK
Vice President, Community Impact &
Executive Director of the Sacramento Kings Foundation
A social services expert and trained marriage and family therapist, Scott Moak now
heads the community impact department of the Sacramento Kings, and has also assumed
executive director duties of the Kings Foundation. He readily admits that his true passions are in the areas of social welfare, building healthy communities and philanthropy.
Prior to joining the Kings, Moak led all nonprofit services at 3fold Communications,
a local marketing firm. Before 3fold, Moak had spent nearly 15 years working for several
nonprofit organizations including the Sacramento Children’s Home, The Child Abuse
Prevention Council, Prevent Child Abuse California and Mutual Assistance Network of
Del Paso Heights, and has proudly served on the Sacramento First 5 Commission since 2006.
Last but not loudest, since 2002 Moak has been yelling and screaming as the public address announcer
for the Kings. In total, over the microphone, Moak has addressed over 3 million Kings fans. A native Sacramentan and graduate of John F. Kennedy high school, Moak has a master’s in marriage & family therapy, and
received an undergraduate degree in psychology from UC Davis. He is married to Stacy, and is the proud dad
to a daughter (Evan) and son (Asher).
RYAN MONTOYA
Senior Vice President, Strategy, Innovation & Technology
Ryan Montoya begins his first season as senior vice president of strategy, innovation, and technology. His responsibilities include providing direction and managing
the Sacramento Kings new technology and innovation strategies to enhance the fan
experience and improve the team’s performance.
Throughout his career, Montoya has advised, invested and served at all levels of
early stage Internet companies.
A native of Colorado, Montoya received his bachelor’s degree from the University of
Notre Dame and MA from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies.
ERICA RAU
Vice President, Marketing
Erica Rau begins her second season as the vice president of marketing. Her responsibilities include establishing and executing overall brand identity, new marketing
campaigns to drive brand awareness, ticket sales and community engagement for the
Kings. Erica also oversees all game entertainment and special event production.
Prior to joining the Kings, Rau served as a brand engagement consultant from
2013-14 and served as vice president and director of brand engagement at The Glass
Agency from 2004-2013. Rau previously worked for the Sacramento Kings as director
of event presentation of business operations from 2001-2004.
A native of Concord, California, Rau graduated from the California Polytechnic State
University-San Luis Obispo with a degree in communication and rhetoric. Rau and her husband, Ben, reside
in East Sacramento with their son, Luke and daughter Lilah.

JEFF RISLEY (RIZZ)
Vice President, Box Office and Ticket Operations
Entering his 14th season with the Kings, Risley is responsible for coordinating and
overseeing all ticket operations for the Kings and Sleep Train Arena events in his role as
vice president of box office and ticket operations.
Having been in the sports ticket operations and services business for over 27 years,
Risley served as the ticket manager for the Los Angeles Clippers for five years before
signing on with the Kings. Prior to that, he was the assistant ticket manager for the San
Diego Chargers (NFL) for two seasons and was the ticket manager for the San Diego
Sockers (professional indoor soccer) for five years.
Risley, a San Diego native, earned a bachelor’s of science degree in marketing from
Humboldt State University. He resides in El Dorado Hills with his wife, Kari, daughters, Jordan (18), Josie
Frances (16), Ally (15), Lilly (11) and the family dog “Choncho” (5).
JUAN RODRIGUEZ
General Manager, Senior Vice President Arena Operations
Juan Rodriguez begins his first season with the Kings as the general manager and
senior vice president of arena operations. Rodriguez will provide direction and oversee
all aspects of facility maintenance and operations of Sleep Train Arena, and will play
an extensive role in planning, deployment, and securing of resources for a successful
move to new Entertainment and Sports Center (ESC).
Prior to joining the Kings, Rodriguez served as assistant general manager at NRG
Park Complex (Houston, Texas), where he had previously served as director of event
services and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) coordinator. Rodriguez served as
director of event services and ADA coordinator for Bank Atlantic Center and as event
services coordinator at Miami Arena.
Rodriguez was born in Madrid, Spain and grew up in Miami, Florida. Rodriguez and his wife Cari, currently
reside in El Dorado Hills with their two son Connor and daughter Ava.
DONNA RUIZ
Vice President, Human Resources
Donna Ruiz begins her 15th season with the Kings as vice president of human
resources. Her responsibilities include ensuring that all human resources related strategic objectives are met. Her daily duties include overseeing leadership development,
recruiting, employee relations, performance consulting, safety, compensation, and
benefits administration, legal compliance, and training.
Ruiz has more than 25 years of human resource management experience and
is certified as a senior professional in human resources with the Society for Human
Resource Management (SPHR).
A graduate of Sacramento State University with a bachelor’s degree in organizational
communications, Ruiz lives in Cameron Park with her husband, Tom.
CARTER WESTFALL
Vice President, Business Development
Carter Westfall begins his first season with the Kings as the vice president of business development. His responsibilities include new sales, strategy, and direction of
marketing partnerships for the Sacramento Kings and Sacramento Basketball Holdings.
Prior to joining the Kings, Westfall served as an associate vice president for the
National Basketball Association (NBA) in NYC, where he led new business development for global marketing partnerships across the NBA’s 13 regional offices. Westfall
served as vice president for Helios Partners, a global sports marketing consultancy in
the Olympic Games arena.
Westfall played varsity football at Princeton University and received his MBA from
University of California, Los Angeles. The native of Summit, New Jersey, currently resides in Oakland with
his wife, Kate.
