O you earth, sing to the Lord!
O you nations, praise him in joy, for he has been glorified!

“Joy to the World”
*Affirmation of Faith
The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord:
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;
the third day he rose from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and sitteth at the right hand of
God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come
to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic** church,
**catholic means universal
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

Morning Prayer/The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
Special Music Offertory/Offering
*Doxology
Praise God from whom all blessings flow
Praise him all creatures here below
Praise him above, ye heavenly hosts
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
Scripture Reading
ELANE FINLEY
Luke 2:1-7
In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken
of the entire Roman world. 2 (This was the first census that took place while
Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3 And everyone went to their own town to
register. 4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to
Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and
line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be
married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time
came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She
wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest
room available for them.

The Education Committee is looking for a Sunday School teacher for
the Jr. High age group to begin at the end of January. If you can
volunteer for this educational ministry, please contact Lee Ann Davidson.
The Food Pantry continues to need plastic grocery bags. You can
help greatly if you will fold the bags before bringing them to the church. Do
this by “stripping” the bag from bottom to top and placing them bottom end
first in another bag. No egg cartons, please!!!
Have some spare change and want to help make a positive difference in
your community? As you enter the Educational Building you'll notice a
piggy bank. Any money given will help to begin a new ministry in Amory
for needy families. It is appropriately called “Change Amory.”
