*11 Free Shuttle Service to Shops
Once a month, usually on weekends, a shuttle bus service runs between SPC and the
shopping center. This service is for dormitory students only. Please see SPC activity
calendar for more information.
SPC provides 24 hour Emergency Support for all students.
*1 General English (Cambridge BEC)
Students at Upper Intermediate and Advanced Levels receive Cambridge BEC tuition
as part of their G.E. course. This provides students with the ideal opportunity for business
English, career opportuities and a platform for further education opportunities. There is
no BEC examination.
*2 Skills Class 4 hrs/wk & Weekly Review Test
The Skills Class gives students additional ways to approach their study. Each class
includes elements of TOEIC / IELTS / EAP to generate deeper understanding of all
aspects of the English language. The Weekly Review test guides students for
self-study and follow up practice.
*3 TOEIC IP & SP Test
IP is the Institutional Program Test. It is an official test and gives an Institutional
Program Score Report without a student photograph. Students who enrol for 2wks
with at least Pre Intermediate level will receive an IP test for free.
SP is the Secure Program Test, it is usually known as TOEIC public test. This is the
official test held only every four weeks and provides students with an Official Test
Report with student photograph. Every SPC student enrolled for12 weeks or
more in Intensive and Full Immersion courses will be able to take one TOEIC SP test
for free at the end of the course. The cost of SP test is $180 nationally.

*4 Job Support
JOB
We understand how important job hunting is to students. That's why we help with
TAX file numbers (TFN), Curriculum vitae (Resume) writing in English, Job hunting
seminars and assistance in finding jobs.
*5 1-2-1 Private Lesson
All SPC students can benefit from additional support. That's why we offer optional
one-to-one private lessons. Each lesson is for one hour a day over three days. This
means three hours of additional individual conversation practice.
*6 Recommended Start Dates
The General English courses allow students to enroll from any Monday throughout
the year (or the first working day of the week). The course is cyclical, meaning
teachers move through the course materials over a 12 week cycle.The Recommended
Start Dates indicate when the course returns to the beginning of the textbook.
*12 SPC Dormitory
*13 Free Daily Pick Up & Drop Off
Usually the host family provides the daily transport to school for 16,17 years old
students. However, once students get used to the route to school, there is the
possibility that students will walk or cycle.
*14 Re-Placement Fee
Students can change accommodation from SPC Dormitory to SPC Homestay or vice
versa. 2 weeks minimum notice for any changes is required. Students will be
charged a re-placement fee and any difference in costs each time. If SPC permits the
homestay changes such as host families problems, we do not charge Re-placement
Fee.
*15 SPC Deposit
The SPC deposit is a refundable fee to protect SPC against damage or broken property.
The deposit may also be used in cases of breach of rules. The deposit is refunded to
the student on departure.
*16 Christmas Homestay Supplement
This is for the period of 19/Dec
18 homestay.
*8 Use of SPC Academic Facility
MOVIE
Students can start using academic facilities at 07:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Wifi is
working 24/7 throughout our dormitory and campus.
After school hours the campus becomes the home for dormitory students to respect
their comfort and privacy and to create a positive studying environment, non-dormitory
resident students can use academic and sport facilties until 6:30 p.m.
This is for the period of 20/Jul/2015 28/AUG/2015. It is a 6 weeks program for
student age between 10-18 years. There is Super Junior Program that accepts
students age between 6-9 years old. The date is from 10/AUG/2015 21/AUG/2015
for 2 weeks.
*18 Local School
SPC also arranges for students to join the local schools program. Local school
program requires a prior inquiry to confirm the avaiability with local schools. This
programcan be combined with Junior Program or parents can join SPC General
English to make a parent and child program.

These courses are very different in many ways, including dates, times, purpose & prices.
Our professional staff will liaise with you to tailor a course to suit individual student
needs and requests. Please contact us with your requests.
*19 Train to Teach English (TESOL)
We can train students who reach Upper-Intermediate level or above to teach English
to Students of Other Languages (TESOL). Through this course students will be licensed
to teach in language schools throughout the world.

*9 Use of SPC Sports Facility
The opening and closing times for sports facilities vary, but are usually from 7:00 a.m.
to 9:00 p.m. Sports equipment is available for free at the reception. Sea kayaks can
only be used with prior booking and for Kewarra Beach only.

*10 Evening Lesson
Night
Class
On four evenings a week, from Monday to Thursday, dormitory students receive
free evening classes after dinner. Each class is 1.5hrs of conversation and review
of course material.

The course duration is twelve weeks. However, students can choose to start on any
Monday (minimum 6 weeks) subject to meeting entry requirements. SPC will conduct
an entry proficiency test prior to acceptance to the course.

Dormitory and Homestay students are to check in and check out on the weekend. If
students check in or check out on weekdays, extra charges will apply for airport pick up
and accommodation.
