This is due to a combination of geographic, linguistic, political, religious, social and spiritual barriers. In order to hear, they will generally need cross-cultural gospel input from workers called of God, at least until there is an established Church among their people. Pray that they may have a revelation of the grace and power of God for effective, growing churches to be planted. Churches around the world need to gain a vision for unreached peoples. Peoples – or ethne in New Testament Greek – are the fundamental units in God’s plan for the redemption of all humanity. This is a nonnegotiable biblical reality. Sadly, in the post-AD 2000 world, many have moved on to other, more ‘trendy’ ways of regarding the world’s need, each of which is helpful and important, but without the primacy of the biblical concept of ethne. • Clergy Movement Let’s uphold the following in their new appointment as directed by Bp Rennis Ponniah: - Revd Charles Tewer as Deacon to My Saviour’s Church wef 01 Nov 2014 - Revd Daniel Teo as Priest to St John’s-St Margaret’s Church wef 01 Jan 2015 - Revd Dr Soh Guan Chin as Honorary Priest to St George’s Church wef 01 Jan 2015 ST ANDREW’S CATHEDRAL • Inauguration of Myanmar Worship Service Today (11 Jan) Cathedral is launching a new service – Myanmar Worship Service that would gather every Sunday at the Cathedral New Sanctuary (CNS), 2.00pm. We praise God for this new ministry and pray for God’s favour and blessing upon it that many from this ethnic group would be drawn to the love of Jesus and to declare Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Speaker: Most Revd Stephen Than, Archbishop of Church of the Province of Myanmar. (Source: Operation World, 21st Century Edition, 27) SINGAPORE • Our Government The Ministry of Finance (MOF) is currently gathering Public Feedback (till 29 Jan), seeking the views of all Singaporeans for ideas and suggestions on possible measures for Budget 2015 on issues such as taxation and public spending. We pray for this consultation to augur well in ways of justice and peace for our nation. • Christian Education (CE) Programme May the following courses be well attended and the participants to be grounded in the Word of God.
