Dawson Creek Minor Hockey Association Side By Side Raffle (2014) Rules of Play
1) Only 2,500 tickets will be printed @ $20.00 each
2) Tickets may be purchased at various venues in the Dawson Creek area as well as from
members of the Dawson Creek Minor Hockey Association (DCMHA). See the website for details:
www.dcmha.ca.
3) Deadline to purchase tickets is 9:00 PM, Saturday, January 10, 2015, at the Dawson Creek
Memorial Arena main floor lobby.
4) Tickets will not be offered for purchase online. Ticket purchasers must be 19 years of age or
older. If a winning ticket bears a minor s name, the prize will be lawfully delivered on behalf of
the minor to the minor s parent, legal guardian or trustee.
5) The draw will be held at the Encana Events Center #1, 300 Highway 2, DAWSON CREEK, BC
V1G 0A4, on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at 9:30 PM. Ticket holders do NOT need to be present
at the time of the draw to win. The winners will be contacted as soon as possible at the
conclusion of the Draw. The winners should retain their portion of the ticket, but in any case
must provide adequate proof of identity for verification.
6) All sold ticket stubs will be placed in a draw barrel from which a single winning ticket stub for
each of the three prizes will be drawn at the appointed draw date and time. The winning ticket
stubs will be drawn by a neutral third party and overseen by at least one Dawson Creek Minor
Hockey Association board member.
7) The winning ticket numbers and the names of the winners will be posted on the DCMHA
website as soon as possible at the conclusion of the Draw.
8) Prizes must be accepted as awarded. No cash value or substitutions will be offered or
permitted.
9) If, after all reasonable efforts by the ticket raffle organizers, the winner cannot be contacted
by January 10, 2016, (one year after the Draw), the Raffle prize will be deemed surrendered.
Once a prize has been deemed surrendered, arrangements will be made with the BC Gaming
Policy and Enforcement Branch for the Dawson Creek Minor Hockey Association to donate the
prize, or cash equivalent to fair market value of the prize, to a beneficiary approved by the
branch.
10) Dawson Creek Minor Hockey Association members responsible for the conduct and
management of the ticket raffle are not permitted to purchase tickets for the raffle.
