From March 13–21, this 112-page publication is your handbook to navigating a non-stop schedule of top-tier gallery exhibitions, 22 Asian art auctions and numerous museum exhibitions, lectures and special events. Drawn largely from Japanese collections, among them Nijo-jo and Nagoya castles, it features magnificent works—many distinguished by a stunning use of gold leaf—by more than a dozen leading figures, including Masanobu, Eitoku, Tan’yuˉ, and Hoˉgai. Many of the works are treasured in Japan for their national importance and rarity. Spanning the years from the late 1400s to the 19th century, Ink and Gold is seen only in Philadelphia.
