Step 1 – Apply for admission to HFCC
Online at www.hfcc.edu If you have previously
attended HFCC, you need not apply. Students must
satisfy admission requirements for the college.
Step 2– Qualifying for Admission
Admission Requirements:
Students MUST complete the following requirements to be eligible to apply to the Nursing Program.
All transfer information must be formally submitted
to the Registrar’s Office.
___Overall GPA ( a minimum of 2.7 to apply)
___BIO 131 or 2 semesters of HS AP Biology with a
grade of B or better or college transfer
equivalency
___Math 080 or Compass Algebra score of 46
___Chem 131 or Chemistry placement test
score of 10 or higher or college transfer
equivalency
___ENG 131
___ENG 132
___PSY 131
___NAT Exam score of 80 or higher (NAT 100)
(HESI Exam Review 3rd Ed.
Reading, Math, Vocabulary and
Grammar)
___Submit an application
Points will be tabulated based primarily on
GPA and HESI NAT Exam score. Applicants are admitted based on point totals, highest scores to lowest scores within the application pool. Admission is
contingent on academic performance and other criteria. Admission can be revoked for unsuccessful subsequent academic performance or violation of HFCC

Co-Requisite Requirements:
Students MUST successfully complete the following
requirements to graduate from the Nursing Program.
These courses can be completed once admitted to the
Nursing Program if completed as outlined in the program curricular master plan.

start date)
___SOC 131
___HCS 131
Step 3 – Apply to the Program
Application Deadlines:
**January 30, 2015 for Nursing
Program Fall 2015.
**STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE MATH
110, BIO 233 AND HSC 131 PRIOR TO FALL 2015
Nursing Program Applications must be complete
and submitted by the application deadline to be
considered.
