2. No negative marks for wrong answers. To be Eligible for further process of selection, the
candidate must procure Minimum 25% in each subject and 35% marks in aggregate in the

3. The Pattern of the test:
Part 1-Test of Reasoning Ability [TORA]
In this part, the ability of the candidate to think logically and analyze the problem will be
assessed. The questions will be based on a] Series b] Analogies c] Spotting out the dissimilar
d] Coding/Decoding etc.
Series: The question is based on letter or number series. The candidate has to find out the
appropriate answer from the given alternatives. The answer depends upon how you think logically
on the given series. e.g.
Find out the wrong number in the series 7, 28, 63, 124, 215, 342, 511
1] 7
2] 28
3] 124
4] 215
5] 342
As all the numbers are cube of a number minus 1 except 28. The answer is [2]
What will come in place of * to complete the series?
Aku, fpz, ----*-----, pzj, ueo, zjt
1] kue
2] jtd
3] jue
4] kve
5] ukv
The answer is [1]. The letters in each term of the series are moved 5 steps forward to obtain the
corresponding next term. Hence the term in place of * is kue.
Analogies: In this you have to establish the relationship between the two objects and on the
basis of this find out the missing object that establishes the same relationship with the given
object. e.g.
Man: House: Cow:?
1] Den
2] Shed
3] Cave
4] Stable
As the dwelling place of the Man is House, similarly dwelling place of Cow is Shed. Hence the
answer is [2]
2
Spotting out the dissimilar: In this type four or five alternatives are given. You have to find out
the odd one. e.g.
1] Mango
2] Grapes
3] Apple
4] Brinjal
All are fruits except Brinjal. Hence the answer is [4]
Coding/Decoding: The original letters or numbers are given with their coded form. In the same
way you have to write the given letters in coded form in the same fashion. e.g.
According to English alphabet as BC is related to YX in the same way EF is related to --1] UV
2] VU
3] WV
4] VW
B C are 2nd and 3rd alphabets from left coded as YX means 2nd and 3rd alphabets from right.
Hence EF 5th and 6th alphabet from the left hence 5th and 6th alphabet from right will be VU
Therefore the answer is [2]
