Moe Verkinderen is in The University of Tennessee Hospital in ICU. Moe is slowly getting better at this writing, but has a long way to go. Keep him in your prayers. Details to follow. Mark your calendar, the Polish Dinner is 01/18/2015. The Capuchins will be at this event to sell bread, cookies and other baked goods. This supports their R.O.P.E. Project. Schwalenberg, GK Polish Dinner 2015 Our Annual Polish dinner will be held on January 18, 2015 1:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. at our JFK council. It is a $12 per plate donation. There will be 50-50’s and Gift basket raffles. Kielbasa, Pierogi, Golabki, Kapusta, Czarnina, cabbage soup, mashed potatoes, rolls & butter, coffee and tea. There will also be a Children’s menu. Carry outs are available. Hope to see you there! As in the past, help is needed. This will be the 12 annual dinner supporting the needs of others. Again, the profits will be split between MDA/ALS and the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. th Please sign up to help. 1 Do Not Forgot our Troops All kinds of supplies are needed at all times for our fighting man and women. I hope everyone had a blessed Christmas, & the New Year finds everyone in good health. We are starting off the New Year on a sad note. If you haven't already heard our Purser S.K. Bob Mauer had surgery on some ruptured vertebrae. Not sure if he is still in the hospital, Henry Ford on 19 mile rd. We have been told that his recovery & rehab. are going to be lengthy. please keep him in your prayers. We will be looking to replace him. Gentlemen please give this position some thought. As will have to elect a new purser. I would like to congratulate Debbie Hall who won the Christmas quilt. The 4th degree Christmas Party was well attended, food was excellent & everyone had a great time! Thanks to everyone who planned the party & all those who attended to help make it a success. Regular dues are $43, Honorary Membership (age 65 with 25 or more years of continuous membership) dues are $17.50 and Life Membership (50 year member or age 70 with 25 years of continuous Membership) pay no dues but are asked to pay $3 for our HSSC (Boysville) quota. All members may volunteer to donate $5 to “Take 5” Michigan Charities, $12 to Sacred Heart Seminary – McGivney Chair of Life. Information on both of these state council programs were mailed out. I am sending a membership application with your 2015 membership card. Try to recruit at lease one new member this year. Invite a family member, a friend or someone you see in church to join our great council. Our annual Polish dinner will be on Sunday January 18, 2015. I hope to see you there. I overlooked one and would like to thank Thomas Pilarski them for their continuous support, The Engine House. Michael F Saules On December 9th, we had our Christmas Dinner/Gift exchange and a brief 03 Jack D’Urso meeting at the council. It was a very nice party. We also accomplished a lot at Adam J Schall the meeting. We made donations to the following: Piquette Square (in NovemSteven Watripont ber), a council member’s family in need, Holy Cross Children’s Hospital, and 04 Raymond G Lucas the Fire Suppression System needed for the council’s kitchen.
