General Instruction to the Participants for Avishkar – 2014 Primary Round
1) Participants should reach the venue ie; Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Vani –Dindori Road,
Mhasrul, Nashik – 422 004 on Wednesday 07/01/2015 at 9.30 am sharp.
2) The material and stationary required for the Presentation /Project should be brought by the participant
3) Identity of Participant, Name of College/University should not be disclosed both on poster or oral ppt.
4) The poster/charts / information leaflet size should of 1mt x 1 mt.
5) All required basic infrastructures facility like, space tables, LCD Projector etc will be made available by the
University. For any special requirement the participants should inform the co-ordinators well in advance by
05/01/2015.
6) The age for U.G and P.G participants should not exceed 25 years and 30 years respectively.
7) There is no age limit for post PG category and Teacher participants.
8) Selected participants will have to attend coaching workshop organized by MUHS on 13 /01/2015 and
present their Power Point Presentation.( venue for the coaching workshop will be conveyed to selected
participants) The selected participants will represent the University for the State level Inter University
Round, Which will be held in Nagpur at Maharashtra Animal Fishery Science University from 21 st -23rd
January 2015.
9) As per Maharashtra Animal Fishery Science University, Nagpur norms (for teachers category) teachers who
are pursuing their M.Phil/Ph.D will be eligible for State Level Inter University round.
10) The participants must carry college I. D. Card, Recent 2 passport size photographs and Proof of Date of
Birth (attested photocopy of either School leaving Certificate or H.S.C passing Certificate) on the day of
presentation i.e 07/01/2015.
11) Participants should compulsory submit 2 hard copies of abstract not more than 200 words and a soft copy
in MS word format including, Introduction, material and methods, results, discussion, conclusion and
references etc, of the research project on the day of presentation. (Participants are also advised to bring
the ‘pdf-version’ of their PPT presentation to avoid hardware/software compatibility problems.)
12) The decision of the Judges will be final.
13) Participants will not be give any TA/DA.
14) All Participants will be given Participation Certificates from the University.
15) There will be Five Team Managers to conduct University Level Selection Round and Two Team Managers
will accompany the team as Team Managers at State Level Competition. For any queries and help,
participants can contact them. Details are as follows
16) According to the topics of the project and Its relevance, the Categories of some projects are changed by
the scrutiny committee of Avishkar. Concerned Students should take note of the change in categories.
17) Working Model/ Static Model. In case of Working Model/Static Model maximum 5 participants per entry
are allowed any 2 participants will be allowed to present/ demonstrate the working of the model.
18) If the behavior of any participants is found indecent or contrary to the objectives of the Competition shall
be liable to disciplinary action.

The Research Projects of the participants will be judged on the following Criteria :
