Veridian Credit Union believes in the philosophy of “people helping
people.” If you share this philosophy and would like to make a difference in
the community, we invite you to volunteer to be on our Board of Directors.

Responsibilities
As a volunteer director, your duties will include planning the strategic
direction and setting the general policy for Veridian.
Qualifications
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and a primary account holder
in good standing. Applicants should also have knowledge or willingness
to learn about credit unions and business operations.
Time commitment
Serving as a director requires a commitment of approximately 275 hours
per year, including:
• Monthly meetings typically held on the fourth Wednesday of every month
• Special board meetings up to twice per year
• Board workshops held up to four times a year
• Annual planning session (at least three days with overnight stays)
• Monthly committee meetings
• Occasional conferences
• Self-study courses on credit unions and business topics

Positions
There are five positions up for election this year. Each position will serve a
three-year term.
Election day
Primary account holders who are in good standing and age 16 or older will vote
to elect the directors. The results will be announced at the Annual Meeting on
Saturday, April 25, 2015. More information is available on our website,
