OPTIONS
The operator puts the assembly into the shrinking chamber
and presses two green side buttons.
Additional custom
shrinking chamber
The STCS-VM has one hot air device above the shrinking
chamber that lowers and the shrinking process begins,
heating up until it reaches the process temperature.
Ref: 06-01-0056
At the end of the process, the hot air device returns to its
original position and the operator can remove the assembly.
The system can be equipped with an optional cooling system
that activates after the shrinking process, while the hot air
device is still down, ensuring that the assemblies are not
removed before the cooling process is complete.
Each machine allows the use of an indefinite number of
customized shrinking chambers. The exchange of these
chambers is very fast, taking no more than two seconds, and
the chambers are locked by a key preventing their removal.
Additionally, if the chamber detection system option is
installed, the selection of the parameters is automatic, upon
the chamber insertion.

Cooling System
Ref: 06-01-0107
The machine can also be used with end-splices or ring
terminal assemblies with the help of custom tools.
The machine can be supplied with an optional cooling
system, located at the end of the conveyor that cools down
the assemblies and prevents them from sticking to each
other.
The M2 mode allows the programming of the cycles to be
made, making it ideal to produce batches of splices.

Shrinking Tube
Control System
The STCS-RT is a machine for processing heat shrink
tubes, based on infrared resistors. It’s designed for
workbench applications and can process several parts at
the same time.
The system has two independent workstations (with
independent shrinking parameters) and a movable oven.
Each workstation is provided with support for tooling
fixtures that can be used on a variety of small
components, such as ring terminals and small connectors.

Two different operating modes: M1 with temperature
control and shrinking time; and M2 mode with
pre-programmed references, 100 in total;
The pre-programming of references can be done
manually or using a PC with STCS-RCT software (reads
Excel™ files);
The selection of references can be done automatically
using a barcode reader or manually using either the
rotating knob or the keyboard;
Use of labels for each shrinking time inside a
reference, to help the selection of the assembly;
Tool fixtures with adjustable stopper to ensure the

OPERATION
The operator starts by loading one workstation with the
desired assemblies.
After the loading process, the operator presses the two
green buttons of the desired workstation and the oven
displaces itself from the middle to the workstation, starting
the shrinking process.
Working time counter;
Interchangeable system language, including: Portuguese,
English, French and Spanish (others on demand).
OPTIONS
Additional pair of jigs (Ref: 06-01-0058)
During this time, the operator can start loading the other
workstation, since the oven returns automatically to the
middle, after the programmed shrinking time.

OPERATION
The STCS-BM (Bubble Machine) is a manually operated
pneumatic device, intended to be used as a convenient
‘in-process’ sampling technique for checking sealed splices.
Different combinations of in-line or stub splices can be
pressure tested in any of the combination of fixtures (8 in
total).
The splice products are placed in clamps which deliver the
test pressure. The product is immersed in water and
pressure is delivered down the wire(s) to the sealed area.
The operator can select which chambers receive pressure
and define the test time.
The test result is determined visually by looking for bubbles
in the area of the sealed product.
This equipment can also check for poke-through i.e. when an
individual wire strand poke-through the installed heat-shrinkable
sleeve, by detecting the current leakage into the water. If it
occurs, a warning LED will be lighted.
The STCS-BM can also be supplied with a special chamber
for big cross-section cables.
