FCS on February 5th! Please make
every effort to attend FCS as a good
program, good food and good fellowship
will be in store for your enjoyment. FCS
will furnish the meat and members are
to bring a vegetable, salad or dessert.

Hot meal $5.00 for adults (middle school
and up) and $3.00 for children (K-5th).
There will be a “family cap” of $16.00
(no more than $16.00 will be charged to
any one family). You may make your
reservations by calling the church office
at 706/376-3151 or by filling out the
dinner reservation tear-off on Sunday
morning. Remember we also offer a full
salad bar in the dining room for
$3.00.This is to provide another option
for those who may only want a salad.
Or, pizza slices for $1.00 for Youth and
Adults.

Dear Church Family,
As I submit my letter of resignation, I stand here thankful for First
Baptist Hartwell. You have watched
me become a husband, a father, a
minister of the gospel, and what I hope
is true, a more mature follower of
Christ. You have not only watched this,
but you have been a major influence
as all of these things have evolved.
Jen and I are grateful for the way that
you have loved us, and for being our
family. FBC Hartwell will always be
home. We will always look back at our
time in Hartwell as a privilege and absolutely wonderful experience. Being
able to not only serve our students,
but to also serve this family is something we will always look back on with
great joy. Y’all have been great to us,
and that is an understatement.
The Lord has called us to minister at Golden Acres Baptist Church
in Phenix City, Alabama, as Minister
to High School and College Students.
This became apparent to us in November when we truly began to feel like
this may be an opportunity that the
Lord was putting before us. We are
certainly excited about this new adventure, but it is with a heavy heart that
we said yes. We know what we are
leaving behind, and that makes the
decision all the more challenging. This
church family is moving in a wonderful direction, and I am so thankful for
the way that Steve has led and continues to lead; truly thankful for his relationship, leadership, and integrity.
I have also been blessed to work with a
wonderful staff. I say thank you to them
for the love and support they have shown
me over the years.
To my students, a youth minister
could not be prouder of or more thankful
than I am for you. You have blessed my
life in ways you can’t understand. The relationships and numerous memories that
we share will always be treasured. I can
only hope that we have impacted your
lives as much as you have ours. Jen and
I love each of you so very much.
With that said, I am resigning from
First Baptist Church of Hartwell with our
last Sunday being February 15th. Thank
you for loving us in the many ways that
you have.
