Vice President - Quantum Global

Quantum Global is a fast growing international investment partner with unique expertise in forging
gateway opportunities between Africa and international markets.
Quantum Global Alternative Investments (QGAI) targets direct investments and brings together
Quantum Global’ s well-established Real Estate activities with its Private Equity & Infrastructure work;
combining a solid track record and proven expertise to identify and execute unique investment
opportunities, with the focus on Africa.
QGAI recently implemented new investment platforms, and added to our existing ones, therefore we
are seeking to recruit investment professionals (m/f) at the
Vice President
level, with solid experience of investing in one or more of the following sectors: Infrastructure,
Agriculture, Timber, Healthcare and other relevant private equity sectors in Africa.
The positions will be based in our offices in Zug, Switzerland, and will require frequent international
travel, occasionally at short notice.
Duties and responsibilities

Responsible for investment valuations, due diligence and financial documentation;

Responsible contact person and leading role for transactions and for managing relationships with
counterparties (advisors, lawyers, JV partners);

Reporting on investment performance and proposing appropriate activities for improving or exiting
investments;

Preparing investment decisions for the investment committee and other relevant committees;

Responsible for developing, coaching and motivating junior resources;

Contributing to the sourcing of opportunities in cooperation with the Group-wide business
development team and the senior investment managers;

Representing QG in conferences, round-tables and international events and contributing to internal
and external publications.
Skills and specifications

University degree (MA, MSc. In Business Administration or similar) ideally complemented with an
MBA from a recognised awarding institution;

The ideal candidate is a Sr. Associate or Vice President from either a Private Equity firm or an
Investment Bank and brings 6-8 years of relevant experience, with exposure to emerging markets –
ideally Africa;

Solid execution capabilities and strong financial/analytical skills;

Broad industry knowledge with exposure to large scale direct investments deals and a proven track
record of execution in one of the following sectors: Infrastructure, Mining, Agriculture, Health Care,
Mezzanine, Timber;

Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to cope with high level stakeholders;

An international pedigree and a familiarity with multicultural, entrepreneurial and fast growing
environments;

Computer literate, Advanced skills in MS Office (in particular advanced Excel user);

Fluent English, any other language spoken in Sub-Saharan Africa (e.g. French or Portuguese) a niceto-have.
