Dear Parents,
Finally the mid terms are finished, over the holidays I came across some very interesting parenting tips which I want to share with you, please look
at these and see if you can absorb these tips and
apply them to your daily lives:
Children need a minimum of eight touches during
a day to feel connected to a parent. Secondly,
each day, children need one meaningful eye-toeye conversation with a parent. Did you know that
there are nine minutes during the day that have
the greatest impact on a child? The first three minutes right after they wake up, the next three minutes after they come home from school and the
last three minutes of the day before they go to
bed. We need to make moments special and help
our children feel loved. These are simple, right?
Nothing really earth-shattering here, but it requires
effort on your part as parents. Whenever you feel
like scolding or beating your child, take a deep
breath, or count 1-10 and then act, beating a child
can have severe consequences and not necessarily make the child learn but feel vulnerable. Remember what our kids are learning in class 5 for
example is taught in class 7 abroad, so acknowledge them for their intelligence and talent. Also,
let’s keep your children out of unwanted competition, unhealthy competition can cause children to
become highly de-motivated and cause animosity
among their peers. Kids are always in a party
mood, so join them in their excitement and become a child again!
