Information Technology Analyst 1 Level 3 – Basic Minimum Salary: $49,576** Maximum Salary A: $83,347*** Maximum Salary B: $79,180*** Information Technology Analyst 2 Level 4 – Journey Minimum Salary: $56,918** Maximum Salary A: $98,030*** Maximum Salary B: $93,128*** POSITION DESCRIPTION The New Jersey Judiciary Information Technology Office is a recognized leader in the development of applications systems that improve the operations and efficiency of the courts and the delivery of technology services to judges, attorneys, law enforcement, and the public. We have multiple opportunities for IT professionals seeking a career in a challenging, fast-paced, and cutting-edge environment. Positions are available at the entry, intermediate, and senior levels dependent on the skills, knowledge, and experience you offer. Successful candidates will join a team that develops and supports enterprise level web-based applications and includes full cycle responsibilities from collaboration with stakeholders to define business functions, case modeling, applications & interface design, development, testing, documentation, recovery planning, and ongoing support. Opportunities are also available for candidates experienced in QA testing of applications code and development of test scripts. Our technical environment includes DB2, SQL, WebSphere, IBM Content Manager, JSF, J2EE, JSP, .NET, RSA, ASP.NET, CICS, Oracle, PEGA/BPM, Rational Clear Case, C#.NET., plus redesign of legacy COBOL systems. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s Degree. EDUCATION NOTE: Foreign degrees must be evaluated by a recognized evaluation service. (See www.naces.org/members.html) EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of professional experience in analyzing, designing, programming, troubleshooting, resolving technical problems and/or installing computer systems applications in a mainframe, local area network, or personal computer environment; planning, acquiring and/or installing and implementing telecommunications facilities and services, wide area networks, or local area networks; and/or generating and maintaining system software -OR- two years of technical experience in the operation and maintenance of multiprogram computer systems and completion of an approved course in systems in analysis/computer programming. SUBSTITUTION: An Associate’s Degree in Computer Science may be substituted for the required education and one (1) year of experience. Three (3) years of post-secondary education in Computer Science may be substituted for the required education and experience. A Bachelor’s Degree in any field may be substituted for the required education and one (1) year of experience. A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science may be substituted for the required education and experience. AOC Information Technology Office Internship may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional IT technical and/or professional experience on a year for year basis. Completion of a relevant course of training in Information Technology may be substituted for up to one (1) year of required experience. DRIVER’S LICENSE: Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform essential duties of the position. AUTHORIZATION TO WORK: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidates must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations. RESIDENCY LAW: Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), also known as the “New Jersey First Act,” all persons newly hired by the Judiciary must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. ***Maximum Salary A is for Judiciary employees hired prior to June 3, 2014 and Maximum Salary B is for newly hired individuals or Judiciary employees hired on or after June 3, 2014. The New Jersey Judiciary consists of: the Supreme Court, the Superior Court including the Appellate Division and the Trial Court of the 15 vicinages in New Jersey, the Tax Court and the Municipal Court System. The Administrative Office of the Courts provides technical assistance, operational support, training, research and development, budget and personnel coordination, and development and operation of information systems for the Courts of New Jersey.
