Top bodybuilder
seeks sponsors
n Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) president
Dr Abdulrahman Jawahery honoured plants operations department production engineer Farah Al Majid for her initiative in
providing specialised yoga training to the company’s women
employees. Dr Jawahery thanked Al Majid for the initiative and
said it reflected the keenness of the company’s employees to
share their knowledge and experience and to contribute to the
awareness of others. The three-month course being offered by
Al Majid to GPIC employees has attracted a large number of
participants and those who have already trained say they have
greatly benefited. Above, Dr Jawahery honours Al Majid.
AJESH Sadanadan became the
first Indian to win a major bodybuilding contest in Bahrain when
he won the gold medal in the 90kg
section of the National Day Bodybuilding Championship held on
December 4, 2014.
The 32-year-old trained for six
months for this major event and
shed 25 kgs in this period. Without
any sponsors backing him, Sadanadan spend more than BD3,000
from his own pocket to prepare
himself for this event.
“I don’t have any sponsors even
after winning this event. I have
spend all my savings and have
nothing left. If I can’t find any
sponsors soon, I may not be able
to defend my title this year,” said
Sadanadan.
Interested sponsors can contact
Sadanadan on 33922734.
