A full day visit to Bath, visiting the Theatre Royal and the Roman Baths
We will be met at the Theatre Royal in Bath by NADFAS lecturer Jane Tapley, a blue badge guide and
special events organizer of the theatre. Jane will take us on a behind the scene tour of Bath’s Theatre
Royal, built in 1805 and totally renovated in 1982. The theatre is one of Britain’s oldest and most
beautiful. This will be followed by a talk “Bath: World Heritage City” concentrating on the Roman
Baths, given by Jane.
There will be free time in Bath to explore, eat or shop before meeting at the group entrance to the
Roman Baths at 2.50pm for a personal tour. Each member will be provided with their own audio guide
to go round the baths at their individual pace. The average time spent touring the Baths is 90minutes.
Every hour there is a talk lasting 15minutes in the Great Bath.
The Baths close at 4.30pm when we will make our way back to the coach to depart Bath at 4.45pm.
Cost: £38 per head
